people are angry with the performance today, and thats understandable . but if today was one of the worst days of your celtic lives than think about how bad it could have been .... Huns 15 points ahead , us playing terribly. even with ten points deduction the huns could have still been in a position to win the title . that would have been genuinely embarassing , and would have merited the title of " worst day of your lives " . and i tell you the reason that has been avoided , is neil and the bhoys. going on an unbeaten run of 26 games , stepping up to the plate , beating the huns on the 28th december , playing like men when the chips were down . Going on that run took momentous bottle , and we forced ourselves onto the championship, pure determination . The title is won , and for the second successive season , this young celtic team will get over the 90 point mark . It took BOTTLE to rescue the season the way we did . we should be proud to be champions elect , because it is the team that has earnt it with their endavours.
everyone is entitled to be very * off , and trust me i am ...but some people cant see the trees for the forest, this isnt the be all and end all , it is a day we will forget . the day we will remember is just around the corner , the day the championship flag is once again unfurled at paradise. :celt_2:

disappointment is temporary.....Liquidation is permanent.

Yes it's disappointing, very. Winning today would have been just awesome. However it only delays the inevitable title win, cheer up Bhoys and Ghirls !! And if nothing else it means Strathclyde Police and the other forces across the country should have a quieter night !!

Good post. Whilst today was a massive let down in the grand scheme of things all it done was delay the inevitable. Winning the title at the shitbox wouldve been ace but i take comfort in the fact in the next couple weeks we WILL be crowned champions and deservedly so.

everyone will feel the same within a few days. onwards and upwards. mini huns at hampden also so much more to look forward to . let them have their little ditty , we have some real parties on the way. -
-
even if the players had turned up we were never gonna win that today. Politics and police have made sure of that. Or am I paranoid.

Yes we are in a bad form dip and Lenny has made mistakes (including today) but even as a bit of a Lenny-sceptic, I think the anti-Lenny threads posted today are idiotic and disgraceful. He has done the main job of a Celtic manager by securing the title. All the rest is irrelevant.

The thing that annoys me the most is the fact that we are supposed to be the best team in the country, and in the Old Firm games we should prove that, especially away. But, this season we have conceded 7 goals against them, which just isn't good enough and from an outsider looking in would not seem like championship winning form. The players need to learn how to play and win at Ibrox like the great MON team did.

As a disappointed embarrassed Tim of the 90's ,today isn't the worst day by a long shot..was at iPox when we lost 5-1 in 89,severe trashings in Europe by minnows ,cup final defeat to raith rovers so been there suffered and appreciated the good times of the o Neil era.
However the support deserves to raise the bar and shouldn't expect continual bashings at iPox.spl minnows can go and get a result so why can't the best team in Scotland.mentality needs strengthening, and a bit of ruthlessness wouldn't go astray.
Players like ki cha and stokes will never have the bottle to perform at iPox and have had too many big time occasions where they have been a let down.
Most of the support must have shuddered when they saw the teamsheet with the usual defensive * up with Matthews switched to left back with 3 players in the squad more than capable of slotting in to the role.
Short Free kicks with no desire to create goal scoring opportunities de rigeur today.cost us the 3rd goal with brown playing it across the park.
Lack of desire the most hurtful and another kick in the balls for the support.can we not find 11 ruthless footballers with an obsessive will to win? -
last season we conceded zero goals at ibrox and lost the league . this year we have conceded 7 goals at ibrox but have been solid enough against your invernesses to ensure that the league title come home.Last edited by a moderator: Mar 25, 2012 -
Its just the fact that this was probably the only chance we will get to win the title on enemy territory in our lifetime and we * it up. We could have won but we bottled it like usual.

I think the level of disappointment and anger for some is because today we missed a chance to create a real moment of club history. For me the disappointment is how bad we were in those opening 15 minutes. We simply didn't match their desire and emotions and put ourselves behind the 8 ball at that point. Now granted Calum Murray finished us off with his mason of the match performance thereafter but we didn't help ourselves the way we started the game.
But at the end of the day today will fade away and we have a Championship to win and what a victory that will be. Coming from 15 points behind to be even without the points deduction be 8 points ahead today with just 7 to play is an amazing performance by Lennon and the team. I think the players let themselves down with the way they started but the way they finished I think is a very positive sign for the growth of the team. -

- I'm not picky.
Getting beat by the scummy * always hurts no matter what but today was a chance to win it at the * pit and REALLY rub it in and I think it hurts more that we didn't do that.
BUT the title will still be ours in the end. They wanks won the battle but we will win the war, so let them have their little moment of joy at beating us. They won't be laughing too long when Hector comes barging through the doors of "ra big hoose" to get what is owed to him.
Their on the verge of going bust
They won't win ANY cups this season
They (very likely) won't be in Europe at ALL next season
The good ship dignity is sinking faster than pie's down Sally's neck so like I say, let them have their little moment.
Our time is coming. -
As gutted as i was yesterday it made me realise that our fans are too spoilt nowadays
-
The only thing I'm * off about is another disgraceful Hun referee, we were never going to be allowed to win that game and yesterday just proved that in my opinion.

Agreed, I was in my local after the game and it was full of huns putting there * on the jukebox etc. Later on after a few drinks all the Celtic supporters were standing on the chairs singing 'Simply the best' when they put it on, they were boiling! :56:
Then we started putting on the pogues etc and lifting the dominos cups off the trophy shelf the local team had won and jumping about with them... They sat there with their faces tripping them, they were leaving one by one and every time one was going out all the Celtic supporters were going 'Wheeeeyyyy!!!! Cheerio cheerio!' etc. What a night! That's the difference between us and them. Even when they win, our support goes out and have a good time, they sit with there faces tripping them shouting their '* b******s' and all that sectarian bile. A Celtic supporter shouted '* the Queen & the UDA' add on to simply the best they were about to riot, calling him a terrorist and a bigot even though they sat shouting 'Fenians and * the IRA and the pope' after the game.
When they were leaving their faces were like thunder. Bet they went home to beat their wifes and children, Scotland's shame. -

The same happened at the game, when they celebrated their second goal and we all joined in the cheering and then started doing the huddle etc they all clamped up fairly quickly and then 3-0 the exact same happened. Then we started doing toytown etc whilst they 3-0 up were all sitting in their seats.
Their ultras tried to start a couple of songs again but they were our tunes for Paddy McCourt and Tony Stokes and we hijacked them. They tried the huddle etc but anything they attempted lasted 10 seconds before they were put in their place. :celt_2: they played simply the best at the end and we burst into song :50:
