    You'd sack him today ?

Why don't we just get behind the team, win this title and and see where we're at in the summer ?

He is not going to be sacked right now. The smart thing is to accept that. We all work with people we don't like or rate but we put up with it because we have a common goal. Once that goal has been acheived then you let folk know what you think of them.

I share most of your views on WGS but the title is more important than my opinion, and your's.

I agree Martin WGS is going nowhere for now and we should get behind the side and the manager for the run in.

However personaly I would have got rid of him long a go however like you I have to accept he is here for the duration it seems.

Where I dis-agree with you though is it is every fans right to vent their views on him be it at a suporters club a pub or a fans forum like this one it should be kept away from the terraces as this would just be counter productive. However I dont think their have been to many dis-gruntled voices on match days.

With regards to airing your views on this subject IMO this is healthy and should be encouraged not precluded as to me to sweep weakneses or problems under the carpet would just make you a fickle fan when push comes to shove and it becomes time for a mangerial change.

Heres hoping we win the league and this change will not prove necessary.

The Celtic Song so long as Dean Park doesn't sing it.
That's a tenner I owe you. 4 of my posts were in a thread comparing the finances of Celtic and the likes of the remaining teams and reaching the last 8 which turned into an anti Strach thread and merged. I butted out after that and had a couple more later mainly moaning at the amount of threads on the regurgitated over debated subject, another 20 of which have disappeared into the archives without a comment from me .

I agree with you Ellbhoy and Martin btw, like him or not it's pointless screaming for him to go and let's get behind Strachan and the team.

Let's deal with what we've got on our plate the now.

Try telling that to Strachan, does anyone honestly think he's got the balls to admit he's running out of ideas tactically and hasn't got the bottle to make a bold change to freshen it up? Coz that's exactly what's needed.

Or maybe am just a Buckie drinking ned and my opinion matters * all?

Mine and others opinions on Strachan arent going to have a bearing on whether we will win the title or not. The fact 99.9% of us would never raise our disagreements with Strachan during games, again wont affect Strachan or the players so i'll just keep voicing my opinions on him on sites like these, in the hous and in the boozer.:50:

If the answer is yes then that's madness.

If the answer is no then get behind our challenge for the title and that means backing the manager as well as the players.

:71: Chucky, no one has a problem with your views on WGS. *, it's a democracy.
It's the 'first touch' we take umbrage with. Less arrogance and we'll all debate the views. I don't like personal insults so when I get them I am guilty of steaming right back in there.
There's no elitism as Lubo#1 says, but we do have a certain respect for people who run the site cos they (And the GMs) keep the site running. I must admit I like a good old slagging match at times and you are giving all the ammo at times.

My advice. Think before you type.
If I was in a pub and someone started talking about something that I disagreed with I wouldn't turn round and say 'Hey pal, you're talking pish.'

There is a way to get your point across.

If I was with friends I might say. '* off! That's a load of pish.'
Try to make a few friends on here and you'll find that this is the best Celtic site on the net.

Just advice from an old Tim. Take it or leave it mate.

Taking Sno off for Donati who gave the ball away originally for their goal ( although he gave it away in midfield so we should of dealt with it) and taking McDonald off for Jan who didn't even do is main role of winning things in the air.

These were two mistakes for me by Strachan, even though Jan scored nobody could of said they seen it coming. He was unlucky with the one that hit the post apart from that he was useless.

Donati lost the ball several times when he came on and i thought Sno had done ok.

But everyone is entitles to mistakes , hopefully he learns from them

I'd be quite comfortable with Starchan leaving us now and Tommy Burns stepping in.
Oh i know some will say "a but what about Waldo's record against him in the 90s" but that wasnt on a level playing field.
This time around TB would have the better squad and i think because he worked under him for scotland TB would have his number.

Much like when Kenny Mcdowall turned traitor and fed Der Hun with all the inside info on our set up, our individual players pluses and of course weaknesses thus giving Waldo the edge over Strachan. I think TB's inside knowlage of Waldo and Swally would tip it back in our favour. and of course he has THE "HOLY" GOALIE on his books not Der Hun this time.

I'll back Strachan at games of course but not anywhere else or untill HE changes my opinion.:50:

You shouldnt need to change the way you post m8.As your not insulting anyone until the have a go at you.

People should just read the content and not look for agendas, this IMO is a major problem on here.Something I have had to deal with also m8 in my early posting days.As the band of brothers are warey of who the new guy is instead of listening to the valid points made.

Anyway a watred down Chucky Arias views are just as relevant as they where before.:50:

Whatever your opinions are on Strachan surely it would be better to keep or sack our manager after we have won this title, which will only happen if the fans get behind the team.

To sack a manager, who has won every championship he has challenged for with us, at this stage in the season while we can still win the league would be madness. It would derail our title challenge and send out the wrong signal. The day a club starts sacking managers with a 100% record in titles is the day they are on the road to ruin. You also say we have a better squad now. Who assembled that squad which you think is superior to TB's squad ? Surely not WGS whom you say can't spot a player ? As it happens I think TB had the better squad. Di Canio, Pierre, Cadete were all better players than any we have at the moment.

TB was a failure as a manager. But hey he bleeds green.

    HE changes my opinion.:50:[/QUOTE]

Will three in a row do that for you ?

Definitely, sacking him now would be crazy. Come the first whistle of every game we are all on the same boat and will all get right behind the team. Every time no matter what.

Winning the league for a third time in a row would be fine by me.

However Martin if we win it can you honestly say you will look back on this season fondly.?
As for me thus far most of it has been forgettable.

my sentiments exactly, everyones view may differ and sometimes it can get a bit hot .but that is as far it should go ,all the slagging, swearing, and i think the worse ,and if it continues people should be automatically banned is personal insults ,that is well below he belt ,so if any mods are looking at this ,or anyone start a poll and see what happens ,on personal insults and banned, its no my place think it should come from above

No. But I would be an * to want a manager sacked who has entered three title races and won all three, whether I like him or not.
