no point in locking the thread, another one will only pop up if we don't score enough goals on sunday, or if we score to many, or if we score enough, but score them all too close to the end of the 90...
best thing to do is what allready been done, merge them all in this thread.

 

Yeah the thread will remain, I gave my views and can't be * retyping them time and again. Use this thread for all your rants about the manager as its a * hassle for the staff to tidy up the forum. Nothing we can do until we see what happens with the league. Only thing we can do is get right behind the team and hope we have the baws to beat the huns. Turn up at all the games and no empty seats, sing your hearts out so the players no what it means and that it matters, invent new songs and blast them out, be a supporter and lets win this league. We all need to raise the bar now bhoys including the manager. Strap on yer seatbelt and have a few drinks cause this is gonna be bumpy.

Last 16 is not above our weight. We got Milan (Winners) last year and Barca (Probably the best team in the world) this season. Just unlucky in the draw. We'd have to have played these teams eventually, but we are a European force again. Just need to get a team we can beat away.

my sentiments exactly.......people say WGS won his leagues because there was no challenge....MON won all his league by at least ten points against *, with some seasons 20+ points bein the difference. when he did have a challenge we lost it twice. just drop the anti strachan thing its gettin boring, and is an obvious personal hate campaign against an ex sheep player

 

for all your information, i like nearly every other true celtic fan i know and have spoken to, didnt want strachan in the first place, but being true celtic fans we have tried to give him our full support, he makes this impossible for us by constantly picking the wrong team, tactics, and his attitude towards us, he was only in the paper the other day saying that our opinions dont matter, artur boruc, scott mcdonald, scott brown, and naka aside, his signings have been atrocious, he plays caldwell every week without fail, even though everyone in the world can see he shouldnt be allowed near a celtic top, and the mere sight of his name on the teamsheet just encourages other teams, he handed the captains armband to pressley, the ex scum in one of his first few games, he has wasted over 15 million of our precious money on duds and squad players who are nowhere near the quality of celtic,

furthermore ill tell you the reason he does the things he does, hes a bitter twisted wee man, and he knows he will never be accepted by us all, he knows caldwell isnt good enough, he knows riordan should be playing, he knows everything we do but the reason he doesnt do the right thing is because, he is the manager, and we wont be choosing the teams or telling him what to do, hes a pathetic stubborn wee man, and since he has come we have went backwards, thats the bottom line, and i know some of you will argue about what he has acheived, but my answer is, if you know anything about your team or football in general and still argue this, then you arent worth arguing with

 

You constantly use this insulting unsubstantiated statement about your own fans mate. Ellboy pointed out to you yesterday that this daft point of view has recieved no backing in any polls nor have any of us heard shouts in pubs or games to back up you outragious claim.

Most fans who agree with me and dont like or want Strachan at CP do so because of the following reasons. We believe!

(1) He,s tacticaly inept.
(2) His opinion on "right good players" is on most occassions ludicrous.
(3) He picks teams by favouritism rather than abilty.
(3) He,s arrogant and childish.
(4) He has no respect for the Celtic support, he even has the nerve to say "our wonderful fans" then tells us our opions dont matter and if we disagree and say so were "Buckie drinking neds"

The things i dont agree with you on mate are, Strachan is certainly not pathetic, nor is he bitter and twisted. I think thats a bit OTT.
But it is your opinion and your allowed to give it.
Strachans arrogant and thinks he's a better coach then he actualy is in my opinion but i wouldnt go as far as to say what you said.

I get hounded on here all the time for Not liking or rating Strachan, Ive been told on numerous occassions that i'm a Hun or not a true fan because of this and told i'm not welcome at CP.

No disrespect but your remarks are as just as elitist and "uber" as theirs are.
Just because they have the completely opposite opinions from you doesnt make them "clowns" or "Idiots" and doesnt give you the right to question their devoutness or right to support the club.

the reason he is twisted is he knows that certain players should never be allowed near a top, he picks them to state that he runs the team, not us, he listens to no one,

the reason he is bitter is because he knows he has never been accepted by the majority, not because he was a sheep, but because he isnt and has never been a good enough manager to come to a club of our size, sacked from coventry and walked away from leeds, not exactly a glowing cv is it, we are one of the best teams in the world, and we deserve a manger of that calibre, we know it, and he knows it,

he picks his favourites, the majority of his buys have been a backward step, quantity rather than quality, some of his decisions and tactics have been made to emphasise that he is the manager and although everyone in the world can see what we should be doing and who should be playing, hes the boss and thats the end of it

On your 1st paragraph! I dont think the word "twisted" fits your explanation mate. What you describe is arrogance.

On your 2nd paragraph! I dont think bitter is the right word either mate. I'd suggest defensive and insecure.

On your last paragraph i'd describe him more as just pig headed.

These are just my opinions mate and i aint having a go.

 

in the past i have stuck up for gs ,now im a doubter simply because of the last couple of months ,redarding team selection ,he has his favourites and cant see past them,it would be ok if they were playing well ,but some of them are blatenly out of form ,or not up to celtic standard,but he will persist with the same players,i dont no if it is his arrogance against the support that he does play these guys or what ,but a cat only has 9 lifes ,we are stuck with him in the meantime lets see what the summer brings and then see what he is made of ,that last line is there simply because rangers are catching celtic now ,so for the first time as the manager of celtic he is been put under pressure by them so this is a big moment for gs to see what he comes up with in the summer

 

I happen to support Strachan and will continue to do so at least 'til the end of the season and I will judge him then when the trophies are won or lost. He may have certain personality traits and his manner can be somewhat questionable which I can understand gets folks backs up. However,to date under his tenure he has done a great job. I admit he has had a few dodgy buys and his tactics, well sometimes he has me scratching my head but O'Neill had me hopping mad with his.

I very seldom post in these anti Strachan threads as it tends to be a small few who are very vociferous in their dislike of him and it is evident from the amount of threads, now merged, that it is becoming a witch hunt. Most of the threads on this subject has fan against fan with insults and petty squabbles overtaking the subject matter of the debate. That is another reason I don't normally post on these threads. One poster has over 500 posts and only joined in February ( a record maybe ), most posts have either been as a result of imflammatory comments and arguments with forum members and the need to reply to every poster who comments on the thread. The anti Strachan brigade have to to take a step back, calm down and give it a rest as all we get is a few pages of debate which has been regurgitated every week since the huns overtook us intermingled with the remaining 20 odd pages of *.

 

You all know that I am not a fan of Strachan but some of the pish spouted on here of late is * embarrassing.

Theres no such thing as the "Anti Strachan brigade" mate. Just thousands of good decent fans who dont rate or like the man for very good reasons.

We dont think you or fans who agree with your opinion should shut up or are less of a supporter or should stay away from CP just because you blindeye his ineptness in some misguided show of devoutness towards him and the club.
As long as we think Strachan is not goood for the club we have as much right to that opinion as you do yours.

I just cant grasp why we give fans who share your opinion on Strachan the courtesy of posting your opinions on him and dont go about calling for them to be extradited from this board or treat differently. But the largest section of the pro strachan lobby constantly vilify desenters.
In essence we tolerate your opinions without shouting for you to "shut up we aint intersted" yet still post on our threads or "your not wanted at Cp" or "your not a true Tim"
It would be nice if you lot gave us the same courtesy.
