MON never gave us both....and i have seen football from the current celtic team that was as good if not better than MON.....invreness 5-0 game and hearts 5-0 game this season....the football on those days was some of the best i have ever seen at celtic park. MON (whom i admire greatly btw) was effective as he played high ball with hartson or sutton...effective, hardly "attractive"

The fact you refused to sort this out by PM and brought it back on to the board kinda proves my point that YOU want to create a stoochie:bbpd:

I am not saying we havent played some nice stuff under WGS but for me it has been few and far between.

With regards to Mon´s team I never brought him up as a comparison. However we will have to agree to disagree on the kind of fooball we played under him.

Very good! Mildly better than your 1st attempt
Have you ever watched Chic Murray mate?
It seems his type of sarcastic humour is lost on you and most others on this board:54:
Ach well! if you all keep seeing my posts as aggressive or condecending and arrogant which they most certainly arent intended to be then i suppose i can carry on seeing the funny side of it:50:

I write how i think and i think how i write and it cant be helped:bbpd:

MON's last season was dire football as was Strachans 1st two mate.
Where i will give credit to Strachan is he has tried to playe better football this year with a wee bit of success.

Without wishing to stir things up again today Potsmouth beat Man U at Old trafford and Barnsley have beaten Chelsea.

Two games with a big gulf in class between the sides in terms of finances yet the big boys new they where in a game and got beat.I would have just settled for Barca to have felt they had at least been in a game.

    Apologies Ellboy, Just a joke.

Its every Celtic fans right to debate to get passionate and debate about the team we love.
Although my viewpoint on WGS may not be as different from yours as you may think, its still different from yours and I respect that.
I dont think anyone can ever be entirely right or wrong over matters like this.
My opinion is that while he is the (fairly succesfull)manager of our club, I'll support him. My hope is that we dont ever get to the stage where he is sacked, coz that means that we wont be winning anything. I hope he manages to see out his contract with more trophies and another two league titles. As a Celtic fan winning is all that ultimately matters to me.

The points about comparing MONs Tranfer buys to WGS transfer buys is IMO irrelevant. Theres too many variables to take into account. It all depends on WHO is available at the time and IF they will come to Glasgow. I beleive that both managers signed players that they beleived were the best available at the time given our operating constraints.
I'll defend our signing policy (as I think its a business decision ) we are trying to get a mix of players...young players with potential, that we can sell on in a few seasons and make mega-bucks on, and some more seasoned, experienced pro's. We have to be realistic we cant afford decent Serie A or decent Premiership players.
So there is more risk when buying players with potential, so theres bound to be a few slips ups, as well as success stories, thats the market we are in.

They are nowhere near Man Utd and cant compete in the transfer market with them.

As for Barnsley how much do they have compared to Abramovic.I dont think you could get much further apart in terms of finances.

Also m8 I didnt say beat as the have done I said compete their is a big difference.
