His preferred position was CM, but we used him on the right, only played CM on his debut I believe.

8 votes (so far!) for Big Vic. * madness - he wasn't even the most complete Victor Wanyama during his tenure here! Solid, but better that McStay, Lambert, etc!? Mental!

You young 'uns don't know you're * born! Identify yourself please you VW voters (so I can ignore or pity your future opinions on midfield-matters!).

To be fair the question is the most complete you've personally seen in the flesh so anyone under 25 will have missed McStay.

That'll change Clint. The years will pass and you will naturally come to embrace your inner bitterness, and come to enjoy flinging baseless girns about the place.

It's a right of passage... and it's awesome!

Aye for us he was a right winger, I always wanted us to use him behind the striker but WGS was never bold enough.

Am 30 years of age and I have serious thought to voting for Lambert. In the end went for wanyama. Just because he has played with us more recently doesn't change the fact he can be considered better than Lambert.

Lambert is a player I remember well and a class's act. Mcstay is in my very early memories of football and remember thinking highly of him, I just dont remember enough of him to give him my vote.

All this being said, remember we seen wanyama boss one of Barcelona's best ever midfields. He has a rightful claim to this vote

Don't worry about it mate, you don't have to explain your choice to @scootz, even though he's right & you're wrong.:50:

Well if Lubo ain't being counted then it's Paul McStay by a million miles.

Most complete I’ve watched regularly is Petrov.

My favourite is Neil Lennon though.
