Erm, correct me if I'm wrong but the OP is 15 years old. Maggie Thatcher was last in power 5 years before he was born.

Get on with your life? What has she been dragging you down young man? I forgot about her a long time ago I recommend you do the same... :56:

im 18 i wasnt born when thatcher was in poeer but her legacy lives on. i cant find a job because she destroyed scottish traditional industries. i live 500 yards from a mill and a 3 or 4 miles from a coal pit. if i was born before thatcher i could find work in one of them, maybe not the easiest or best paid job, but it would be a wage. now im struggling to even get a temporary agency contract.

Honestly I wouldn`t be delighted but also I wouldn`t feel bad or sad either. Thatcher as most of scotland will know ran this country into the ground, the thing I`m most worried about is the male version of her ( David Cameron) whom is doing a similar job.

I'm not moving on, growing up or getting over it. I genuinely hope she dies in absolute agony very soon. I mean that with all my heart.

ironically, whilst i hate Thatcher and what she done in whilst in power, the Unions were getting far too big for their boots. They needed to be cut down.

It's a shame the old * murdering hoor doesnt know how many people hate her. She is sitting soaking in her own pish without a clue who anyone is. I wish she could remember the pain and suffering she caused. I'll hold a "thatchers dead" party.

just because i'm 17 and never lived through Thatcherite Britain doesn't mean i don't understand. I have read up on these things and going to uni to study politics so its a bit unfair just to write off all those who didn't live through it.

What views do the other side of Glasgow have on Thatcher ?

As far as Scotland goes (industry) are they the same, with many people regardless of backround struggling for work?

But are these views contrasting when it comes to Ireland?

Split 50-50 i'd say, some Rangers bigots/loyalists whatever they want to be called praise her for what she done to Ireland, Bobby Sands and the rest of the 10 brave men. In their eye's she is a hero for this.

They believe she made Britain a forceful nation again, one to be feared through-out the world.

On the other hand there are some decent fans with balanced views who can see how evil she was and the attrocities she caused.

Jelly and Ice-Cream when she finally goes
