It's brutal, honestly. Shakhtar lost practically their whole squad at a fraction of what it was worth, with players like Solomon and now Tete leaving for nothing.

 

Yeah it's a shiter for them but can't blame us or any other team for being ruthless and taking advantage. It's on FIFA and those Ukrainian clubs should be chasing them for compensation - particularly given the Russia world cup scandal not so long ago.

I’d be pretty confident that Abada, if he’s not moving on, would be moved to the left. Throughout his managerial career, Rodgers has primarily favoured opposite-footed wingers to cut inside. He’ll want right-footers at LW and left at RW. That’s part of what makes the Tetê link make so much sense.

Hauge has been absolutely hopeless at Framkfurt and Gent! Seen him ‘a lot’ at Gent.he only featured 10mins here, 15 there. His head is totally gone. Saw a sportshrink etc. But it didnt help at all. Failed at Frankfurt, Gent and Fortuna Sitard(i believe) tried to loan him was Gent wanted to release. But even they stepped back. Not a chance he could fill the boots of Jota. Certainly not directly. Gent is in everything 1/1000 of Celtic! So with the pressure in Glasgow and his head already gone? Not a risk we should be taking. He was uterly pathetic at Gent.

Hauge, like almost all Bodo players who’ve left recently, has been a disaster wherever he’s been.

Bjorkan, Berg, Hauge, Haikin, Botheim etc.

I'd consider Tete a legit Jota replacement. After all, Ange was using Jota mostly at RW.

 

Given we extended Maeda till 2027, chances are Rodgers rates him highly. I expect him to be our 1st choice LW.

Personally, I love Maeda's game, hence I don't think we need another LW. Haksa is a quality backup. Mikey can provide cover in case of an injury crisis. That said, I fully realize Maeda is a polarizing player.

 

Rodgers could make maeda some player.. especially in Europe when he can fill those deeper more central positions, like he did away to SEVCO
