    You come across as a total helmet sometimes, you do realise that don't you!

    I know that Celtic are better than Auxerre, but does that mean as soon as Celtic come calling you just shut up, sign and pick up the wages they decide to give you?

    Contract negotiations are the makings of an employment contract, therefore the guy is negotiating toward his livliehood and standard of living. Whether you agree with his demands or not, you should at least realise that simply wanting to play for a club isn't enough to make you sign on the line.

    I love my job and like my boss, but I gave him a hard time during salary and benefits negotiations. It's par for the course.

    exactly. some people on here think that negotiations is us putting an offer on the table and immediately saying 'take it or leave it.'

    you also need to look at how long the contract may be, maybe bonus's and signing on fees or wage increases after a year or two

    The guy is pulling us by the nose... I hate that. I'd rather give O'Dea and Balde their place in the first XI. O'Dea surely beats Naylor. And Balde...we could use some height in defense.
