    he was on loan at inter for a few years, now he's a free agent as chelsea didn't renew his contract.

    he'll go back to argentina anyway.

    we seem to be extremely active now in the transfer market. suddenly, we have reportedly come to life.

    when we get that left back we all desire, our defence will have that extra quality.

    Not sure how much Crespo would fancy life in sunny glasgow, he hated london and so did his family, one of the reasons it didnt work at Chelski.
    Plus he would still be after massive wages, dont see wgs taking the gamble, think I smell *

    the radio said we've signed tamas now, not on celtics website though, so no doubt hugh keevins was behind the radio rumour.

    Auxerre manager Jean Fernandez has confirmed that defender Gabriel Tamas is set to open talks with Celtic. Fernandez believes the Scottish champions could be an ideal club for the Romania international.

    Looks like the Tamas deal is still a bit away:

    CELTIC still have several difficult hurdles to overcome before they can win the race to land Gabriel Tamas.
    But the Parkhead club believe they are making steady progress towards signing the Auxerre defender, who remains in Bucharest despite his French club claiming yesterday that he had flown to Glasgow for talks with the SPL champions.
    Auxerre also announced they have given permission for the 24-year-old to speak to Celtic, sparking speculation that a £3.5million deal had already been agreed.
    But Parkhead sources confirmed today that no discussions with the player have yet been scheduled.

    I hope Tamas Signs asap He will be a great signing for us i think the back 5 next year will be Boruc, Antunes,Mcmanus,Tamas,Hinkel i think that is pretty strong to be honest i think all we need is a defense mid now and were sorted maybe a late bid for gilberto Silva before he Joins olympiakos

    well he looks the part so brilliant and lets get their noses rubbed into the dirt over at the death star . I am wondering if this means that caldwell will play as dm because when we signed him there was talk of him taking over that pos from lennon so maybe because i feel he is able to be flexible
