i cannot see Celtic pulling the plug on a difference of £2k a week.

theres two possibilities. either we just couldn't agree a fee with Auxerre or Tamas' representatives are trying to make him sound co-operative and blaming us for the collapse of the deal so he can continue to have his options open if another club comes in.

personally, i think its the latter.

 

how is it *? we have kept negotiations behind closed doors. even if it was, we'd never know.

 

THis nonsense has been going on for over a month now.


Celtic should have made an offer and that was that.

Instead we have a media circus being led by the guys agent.

Move on and lok elsewhere, or the season will have already started.

 

Its not *, if it were we would bowed to greed but we were right to stand our ground. There was an amount that we that this guy was worth he wanted more so we just walked away.

The reason for this imo is that his agents are trying to get him a bigger wage so they get a bigger slice of the pie and other clubs see we are keen on him so they then offer him more money, and imo if it is only money and not football reasons he is not here then we dont want him anyway we want players who want to come and play for our GREAT club.( and i know money talks)

 

If Tamas was a priority signing he should be a bhoy by now, we have once again taken too much time over a transfer. Just look at other clubs around Europe making signings they don’t * about for long (unless it’s a major purchase i.e. Ronaldiniho) they go out and get their targets.

Our first priority seems to be value instead of pushing the boat out to buy our top target. It dosen´t exactly make us an attractive proposition for other quality players.

as strachan says the EPL has made it near imposible to get a decent player in on decent wages, afterall the EPL are paying way over the odds for transfers and wages , wot chance do we have when they are paying top dollar for average players?

I'm sure Celtic havent been in talks every day for a month ffs....the transfer market is not simple and there has been very little moves even in the premiership.

 

A think senederos would be a pretty good signing he,s beter in whats there now!!! he,s good in the air, good passer ov the ball , he,s got plenty ov experience, 31 caps , naw bad for a 23 yr old, and Arsene Wenger has used him in the champs league,,, fair enough he,s made some mistakes but what player hasn,t!!!!

Its possible, at first the price for basa was meant to be £7million but now if its £4.5million maybe they think he is now within their reach whereas before he wasnt. Maybe he was initial first choice and tamas was the backup.
