i cant see Lawell agreeing to 32000 a week as he was trying to reduce the wage buget last i heard so if this guy is holding out for that kind of money i dont think he will be joining i espcailly if celtic are offering 14000 a week

 

He's wanting £32,000 a week. That's a lot of dosh, considering he's only on £6,000 at present. Lawell knows what he's doing and will pay what he's worth, not what he wants.

how do they know what was offered? all speculation. Lawwell will get the deal that suits the club financially. we have other options, so its up to Tamas if he wants to be part of this tremendous club or not.

Tamas has even said negotiations are going well. stop getting so jumpy lads.

6 grand to 14 grand a week is a good offer.

 

I doubt he's after £32K a week and if he is it's probably so we can settle on a happy medium, most reports are saying a compromise is expected to be reached soon.

 

Quite frankly this pish has gone on long enough, I was saying to my mate that we have other areas that need dealt with too (LB priority IMO) and if there is no progress by end of play today Celtic should not be * about any more and we start making business moves for our other targets.

 

If you ask high you normally settle for a higher number than if you had asked lower. I would not worry too much about that asking price. Remember, he is trying to get as much as he can.

 

can everyone stop worrying, he says 32 (so the sun claim) but as has been said you always say way too much so then the middle ground is more in your favour, we have ended talks with the other boy, so this is just a matter of time, pete wont let this go, he knows what he is doing, andwill offer a fair deal, and the romanian can take it, or go back to auxerre on his 6k a week pish again

i think mcmanus is the player that needs replacing.

 

Lets just hope he joins, and maybe get one more decent player in by the end of transfer market.

no. caldwells been celtics best defender for the last couple of months including the league run in. so based on performances which should ultimately be done, mcmanus is the centre half which should be replaced.

 

I think he was average last season...slightly better than Caldwell. Although that could be down to Naylor playing on his side of the park who left him exposed badly at times.

 

If gs was going to replace mcmanus then he would of by now as o'dea is the perfect replacement i would like to see odea & tamas together at centerhalf but i doubt it will happen as gs wont drop his captain
