    He was going on about the club, and celtic park being great, when he was over as an under 20 international.

    If he decides to go to a mid table team like blackburn, we know he is talking bullshit.

    Thats why its best not to let the media know about any signing targets, but they always get leaked eventually.

    the mail says celtic are trying to wade there were through tamas's number of agents


    it also says celtic have identified three other targets should the deal fall through, with French media outlets claiming that Rennes stopper John Mensah, £6.5m-rated Le Mans star Marko Basa and AS Nancy pivot Sebastien Puygrenier feature on Celtic's wish list.

    yes, i want Tamas in the Hoops asap. but if he views a mid table EPL team over champions of SPL and CL participants, then he is a type of player i do not want at my club.

    This is the reason our transfer dealings have to be carried out stealthily. If the truth where to be told Blackburn actually have more players that you could consider genuine class and could go for big money than we have i.e. Santa Cruz, Bentley, McCarthy, Gamst-Pedersen.

    The reason for that being not because they're bigger and better but because they reside within the EPL and a)can afford to pay far bigger wages than we do due to the TV revenue and b) attract players that want to play in the best league in the world.

    i agree hammer with your point that we need to carry out transfers in stelth, but i think because of this we need to carry them out quickly.

    but then this blackburn thing might just be his agents trying to hurry up a deal

    Celtic won't be held to ransom, if they are taking the * then its Tamas that is gonna loose out not us, perhaps the * should be a bit more selective over the company (Agent(s)) he keeps or he is is gonna end up in a mid to relegation english team....

    Celtic are exploring a possible move for Romanian international defender Gabriel Tamas from Auxerre.
    Sources close to the player have told BBC Sport that a meeting will take place in Paris between the 24-year-old and the clubs on Thursday.
    However, Celtic have refused to comment on any transfer targets. Tamas, who has 35 caps, signed for Auxerre from Spartak Moscow last summer and the French club are thought to be seeking a fee of around £3.5m.
