Over the next 6 weeks we will be running a series of threads with polls attached in order to find out who the TalkCeltic community's 'Team of the Decade' is. Each poll will be stickied and will stay up for a week so that members can have a good discussion of all the players that have played for Celtic in the past decade and can take their time to have a good think before voting if they want to. Or else you can just vote for your favourites! :bbpd: It will also give some of our less regular users a chance to cast their vote and participate.
The team will be picked in a 3-5-2 formation(I chose that formation because it leaves out the problematic left-back position and it was a formation we had a lot of success with in the past decade) and the polls will be as follows:
Week 1 - Goalkeepers
Week 2 - Centre-Backs
Week 3 - Wide Midfielders/Wing Backs
Week 4 - Central Midfielders/Playmakers
Week 5 - Strikers
Week 6 - Manager
At the end of the 6 polls we should have ourselves an official TalkCeltic Team of the Decade and the results will be posted up for members to see.
So we will kick it all off this week with the first poll............Goalkeepers. I don't think anyone who has read my posts on here will win any prizes for guessing where my vote will be going! I think this is going to be one of the easier to predict polls but get fired in anyway and feel free to debate away about any or all of the goalkeepers that have played for Celtic over the last decade.
Hail! Hail!

The biggest let-down for me of those goalkeepers was Magnus Hedman. I was actually quite excited when we signed him but he turned out to be hopeless. I had seen him play for Sweden and he looked like a good, solid goalkeeper and I also saw him play well for Coventry but for some reason when he came to Celtic he was just no good. That night in Munich will be my abiding memory of Magnus Hedman.

Went for Boruc - he's been quite good whilst the others were pretty average, if not mince. People underestimate Douglas at times. Sure he made a couple of howlers in a few big games but we wouldn't have got to Seville if it wasn't for some of the brilliant saves he made at Anfield, Celta Vigo, Blackburn etc

Boruc for me.
I thought Broto was a great keeper and if given an extended run would have been a class act. -
