I've said it before and I'll say it again. Independence is a long term decision. It overall has little to do with Salmond as he will hardly be round forever. Actually he will most likely retire if Scotland becomes independent as he has done what he set out to do and achieved nothing that can be topped. Anyone who votes NO because they dislike Salmond are making a huge mistake.

As another poster said, do you really trust the tories? * living in a country where they rule. One way out of it is to vote YES.

Very incouraging to see especially with Rangers fans involved. I'd be interested to see the individually of each forum. I know Independence is popular on TalkCeltic and The Tartan Army Boards but it also seems popular on RanjursMedia following those results.

Voting against independence because you don't like Salmond is like not buying your dream house because the bedroom wallpaper is *..

    Nonsense argument

Yep I would like to see the results for each forum as well.

Yes that is a dumb way to vote , but its as bad as voting yes, just to avoid the tories both silly arguments in my opinion.

I can see both sides of the argument, and I can completely understand and respect the reasons why people are for and against Scottish independence. As well as the very many who will be undecided, it is a very complicated issue after all, with many uncertainties.

I think I would like to see an independent Scotland and the break-up of the Union, however, due to many of the ingrained historical problems, which only require a scratch of the surface to be unearthed, I would have some genuine concerns about what the 'uncertainties' may be for Catholics and Irish people (and the diaspora) living in Scotland.
