Stopped being interested in the player when he left, don't really give a * where he went or what he does.
Im interested in our new signings not our old ones.

Good Celtic players become like family members to me, I cant help but like them and want them to do well. You feel sad that you dont get to see them(playing for us) as much as you can.

It's painful to me to see Wanyama, Ki, Ledley, McGeady and Hooper playing for other teams.

    Agreed.

Nobody on here can honestly say they were not ecstatic to watch Larsson come on and completely change the Champions League Final against Arsenal, basically winning it single handed.

I know it's different because Larsson is a legend, but I try and follow any player who had some sort for success here.

Wish him all the best, as he seemed to take to the club.

Served his time. I can't personally say he was as good as I thought he could have been.

For me didn't influence games enough, and yet when he got into that box he was always dangerous, but just didn't do it enough. Did score a few goals, but could've been more I believe.

Thought there was too much sideways passing from him and seemed to disappear from games and honestly forgot sometimes he was on the park.

Guess he passed up a loyalty bonus or something too, which is fair play to him also.

As said though, I'm more interested in our players now, but if he does well than have no ill-feelings for him or Palace at all.

I literally said that about Larsson.

Your comment is still hilarious though for the bold bit. He was here 3.5 years actually.

Oh and he couldn't wait to get away? Read that mate.

I understand that but in my opinion I do believe there are players who are better than the team.

He may be in one of the best leagues in the world but he isn't earning vast sums more (As I have said before), they have a wage cap of £25k. He went from being a prime target for Roma, to willingly accepting to go to Premiership fodder. Joe is better than that and you and I both know that.

I don't know about we are better than them (fans) but their stadium is * awful, however that is neither here nor there - you can't back up your arguments with that I suppose. I do not believe many people have said they want Palace to be relegated because Joe has went there, surely not? I want him to do well - very well. However, most people are being realistic when they say that there is a potential for him and Hooper to end up being relegated.

For Ledley I would be gutted for him, Hooper on the other hand, as much as I want him to do well, I will find it hysterical. :smiley-laughing002:

Ok thought he signed a 3 year contract.....point is he still left.
To many people get a hard on these days about players that yes are good players but nothing else....come here do what they are paid to do.
Takes more than just doing your job on the pitch to make you anything special imo.
Yes his wife was homesick....so they moved to london.:smiley-laughing002:

He was one of the main components of turning our team around after the Mowbray season. He certainly wasn't average. If he is just a good player and nothing else, then why are people so bitter about him leaving?

Matthews, probably a player he spent most time with off the pitch said that he would of liked to have stayed, but the situation forced him out. So this ''He couldn't wait to leave'' pish is laughable.

I have not said he was not a good player or he was average.
Just saying for me it takes more that one contract and * off to be anything special at this club.
But i guess we all have our own standards and that is fine.
He would like to have stayed but just couldn't live on 25 or 30k per week.....or was it his wife was homesick....take your pick for reason to leave.

He was not on 25 or 30k. Money isn't the issue anyway.

Celtic * about with the contract and he did us a favour by leaving in January and getting us a fee. An offer came up that he could accept instead of leaving for free in the summer. No doubt his agent was pushing for it too, to get a % of the transfer.

You are making it sound as if he rejected a contract and turned his back on us.
