Great servant and consistent performer here for three and a half years. People have to get over him moving on, can't expect him to stay in a team that's competing at a high level for half a year at most. Players want to play in the Premier League and you don't get many players staying here for 5 years +. Celtic buy players and sell them on in a few years for profit, just the way the club is run now and we just have to get on with it

For us to make headway in the cl i think we need more scottish players in our team,guys that have been down to the shinny * lights of the epl and want to come home.
They will stay with us long term and give us a better chance of building a good team.
If we could get maybe 5 or 6 of them and the rest made up of the hoopers/wanyamas/vd and ff that we find.
With some luck this would cut down the player loss we have 1 a summer we could handle instead of last summer when we lost 3 *.
Is there enough talent out there to do this i don't know.

 

As for this "great servant" pish, I dont consider a player who signed one contract and then * off as a great servant.

Players who have signed a couple of contracts and have been at the club for atleast 5 or 6 years can maybe be considered as good servants.

Some players did all they could here, or hit a plateau and you could see they needed a new challenge, e.g Petrov, McGeady, Boruc.
