    OUT
    Gravesen - waste of money
Killen - never going to threaten Skip and JVoH
    Sno-Loan deal
Balde - not my choice. i just don't see him being here next season
Riordan - due to recent comments, WGS wants him away more than he wants away
Pressley - getting on and doesn't push the defenders at the club
Donati - i think he wants to return to Italy and can be easily replaced
Virgo - seems everyones forgotten about him, or they just want to keep him lol

    POSSIBLE OUTS
M.Brown - he has an easy life on the bench, he will never threaten our first choice, yet he never complains. lucky to play 5 games a season max.
Boruc - lots of big clubs looking for a new first choice, and lets face it, they don't come better than Boruc

i could say who i would like to see at the club next season, but more than likely you wouldn't of heard of them. i don't see alot, if any, EPL players at the club
    1) Transfer Price - heavily overpriced in England. Jones of Sunderland has had a price tag of £25m put on his head to put off efforts in the summer. and Blackburns McCarthey won't go for anything less than £12.5m
    2) Wages - most EPL players demand anything from £30k to £120k a week!
    3) Overated - Aaron Lennon is supposed to be one of their 'top' youth players. shut up is he. he's a sprinter not a footballer.

    my *!

he's 31 i think, no one would pay that money for him especially as they signed him for £2.5 million. he signed a new contract this week anyway

well considering last season, when he was 30 and had 2 years left on his contract, Hughes said he is worth £25m!!!!!!!!
and you don't base your valuation on a player on how much his past transfer fees were.
but your right, no point discussing him, since he signed a new contract.

To be honest I Wikipeadia'd a few of them & it seems out of date (or pure pish), so what's the point of posting it then? We've been linked with a few like mendy & degen before.
I might be interested in Ledley King if he can get a pre season under his belt & maybe the defender from Fiorentina Ujfalusi would be worth a look. Where are the Celtic scouts going this year, now that we've got most of Hibs players?

mark hughes doesn't dictate the market. managers always say bollocks like that. do you think he would turn down £8 million for a 31 year old? the board would accept that offer in a second

no, i honestly think they wouldn't sell for anything less than £12m.
i no mark hughes doesn't dictate the market, and he only said his valuation so he puts off interested clubs. but the english transfer market contains silly valuations of players.

trust me mate if someone offered £12 million for mc carthy they would take it and buy someone 10 years younger. if wenger was prepared to sell henry for £16 million hughes would take 12 for mc carthy

henry was injured all season, the arsenal fans i knew didn't want him (i live north london), he was disrupting the team ( thats why fabregas said he was glad henry departed), henry wanted away, he had one year left on his contract and Wenger wanted to bring his young team through and felt henry was holding them back.

    totally different situation to McCarthy

fabregas did not say he disrupted the team he said that when henry played the team relied on him too much.

the point i'm making is that no club in the world would turn down £12 million for a 31 year old benny mc carthy. as you said earlier managers put ridiculous prices on players heads to ward off any club interested but if the club were made a sizeable offer for him the issue would be out of hughes' hands as the chairman would accept it and invest it in younger players who are gonna be around longer than mc carthy, at best he's got another 3 years in the EPL

you did indeed mate but i think they would accept less than that, its the same old * from managers, we wouldn't sell him for x,y,z...... but at the end of the day the chairman will weigh up a bid of say £8 million and decide that its best for the clubs long term interests to accept that money and invest it in their future on a player who could be at the club for 10 years rather than 2 or 3

    * me, you won the * lottery pal - the English teams all want top dollar. Same with Spain, there are plenty of good players even in the BBVA league - but the 1st team players all cost a lot. Ok if we can get 2nd string frustrated players like Hinkle it could work, but this is also quite a big gamble. Cuellar was about 3million, I suppose that was alright.

Players in England generally get sold for huge prices if they are young and English.McCarthy is neither. The chap can't even get in the team ahead of Jason Roberts.McCarthy would be sold for 5m.

Jimmy Bullard, Brian McBride and Dietmar Hamann! Three excellent players who surely realise theyre at a mediocre club and would jump at the chance of CL football! Bullard & McBride two stalwarts at Fulham and Hamann is getting older admittedly, but still a midfield colossus! Im a 'pool supporter aswell as a Celtic fanatic and i'll admit they wouldnt have won th 05 CL final had it not been for Hamann's midfield presence allowin gerrard to play further forward... Didi could and would do the same job in the Hoops!!!!!!!
