Gutted we've missed out on Falcao, but heard a rumour Lawell is in Dortmund discussing the transfer of Lewandowski. Hope he signs!

to be fair I love a bit of debate who will we sign etc but be honest we all need to be realistic a 2 mill transfer + wages can mean maybe 4-5 million so its not just the fee but the whole deal and with the crazy sums spent on players down south we cannot compete. I put my faith in the scouting team to identify players who can do a job for us and even though we maybe not have heard of them before doesn't mean they cannot do a job for us

Wouldn't be surprised if we solely relied on freebies. We've received a bit of a boost due to our European run, but until that becomes a regular thing, we will not invest too heavily.

We'll do what we did last year, and the CL qualifiers will dictate what we do in the market.

I'd like to think there is money to add one or two quality players in key positions ahead of the crucial qualifiers. And then go from there.

Yeah, but look what happened when we got there. Brilliantly though we did this year, I think the next step would take more than £6m, sadly.

Our qualification for the CL last season didn't affect our business, really. We were quiet, for the most part. Forster signed early, Ambrose came in before the close, and a couple of low-key loan signings. :39:
