Selling to cheap again. We shouldn't entertain any offer under 10 million. He Scottish international and goal scoring midfielder. Hard to come by.

Due to the fact that his song is addictive....we cant sell him.....Long term contract...even if Brendan's saying to play him centre-mid in the reserves for the next decade......I'm no stopping singing that song like....so get the contract out

Change the song and give it to someone more deserving like James Forrest or Jonny Hayes

Maybe the offer was not enough last time and he didnt get the interest from good clubs he expected ,on his game he is one of our best and dangerous players .
I hope he signs ,i rate him highly and dont see him leaving by his interaction with fans manager and players ,similar to rogic ,if we want him enough and im sure the manager also rates him ,we need to give him an offer he cant refuse ,why leave a good thing ,we are on the rise ,he is loved and adored here and it can go bad very easy at the wrong club .

The hate for Armstrong on here (and at games) is ridiculous. There simply wouldn’t have been an invincible treble without him. He and Brown dragged us through the Scottish cup final last year.

*, we’ve not lost a single domestic game he’s started since Rodgers came in. He came on at half time at Hearts when the game was more or less done (given how the team was playing), missed the Killie game (which was absolutely crying out for him), missed the Hibs game and came on with 20 minutes to go against Aberdeen (and had a positive impact).

He brings something that no other player in our squad does (his drive and ability to break the lines) and is sorely missed domestically when he doesn’t play, yet so many are blinded by the media claiming he’s desperate to go. If he was desperate, he would have went last summer.

He’s had an injury riddled season, granted, but that doesn’t make him a poor player. The notion that we should sell him and replace him with McGinn (who he rightfully keeps out the Scotland team) is farcical. If you thinks Armstrong’s passing is poor then be careful what you wish for!

With our lack of energy in the right back position he'd be ideal there. Has good end product with crossing and passing and would be making overlapping runs. He does need to work on his tackling imho

Problem with that is he only has a year left, and if you demand too much and he stays we then get nothing. I think £5m is more reasonable.

Agree, I rate him as one of our best players. He was great near the end of the season when fit, added a lot of energy to us and was among our best players every time he played despite probably not being fully fit and only appearing here and there.

I want him tied down on a long term contract but it doesnt seem like it will happen.

why would he only sign a 1 year deal ? then sign a new 5 year one a year later he could have done that last season when it was probably on the table? would be quite odd he must be angling for a move at some point.

Can't see us letting his contract run down and leave for nothing next summer.

I could probably answer those myself.

He doesn’t care about fan adulation and medals and wants to maximise his income as much as he possibly can. Footballs a short career and you can earn much more in a * English side.

And no I don’t think there’s much chance of him staying as we won’t offer him the wages he wants, and rightly so, because he’s average.
