If he doesn’t want to be here, better getting a fee than letting him walk.

Would happily see him go for £5m. Good player, but replaceable. Definitely not as committed as other players in the team anyway.

we offered him a very good deal last summer and he knocked it back to sign effectively a 1 year extension!

An absolute liberty he was offered a year to be put in this same situation 12 month's later..

Used his time to have surgery and out for a few month's in time for getting his move to England and had 1 top game against rock bottom Ross County at home..

5 mill for a player in his last year is more than we paid for Ntcham. Bite the hand off and 2 player's out the door for over 6 mill who have wanted out for a while is good news..

He was offered 3 years mate and knocked it back on advice from the agent then as window was drawing to a close penned a new 2 year deal which was effectively a 1 year extension

I think he will have a desire to play down there so best for everyone for him to go.

Great player on his day but I’m not sure we will miss him too much.

I don't think he's technically good enough to play in the Premiership personally, he's exposed every single time we play in Europe. His passing is wayward and his touch is poor.

He has lots of good things going for him but in a League of a slower pace with more emphasis on technique I think he'll drown.

Aye, I don't have respect for that..

Should've just went at the time. Surprised Brendan sanctioned that 1 year extension and didn't tell him to get to * in all honesty..

A chance to sign someone now with energy, but who can hack it in Europe..

To be honest I also think he will struggle in the Premiership and only clubs that have either promoted or lingering around the premiership relegation zone. He could flourish in the Championship but that is all. Armstrong has never been the guy to help us in Europe. I think he could be replaced by a player at half the price and cheaper than offering Armstrong more money.

Reckon he was meant to be off in January, about the only thing that makes sense for the deal he signed last year. Otherwise what was the point just to end up in same situation a year later.

But for £5m, not bad price all things considered. Didn't think we would get that last season with him only having 12 months left, arguably he has stalled in development this season (injury) and we are getting that much, batter in.
McGinn in for 2million and we've just replaced him with a better prospect and money to spare. He barely played this season, so giving McGinn a chance to step it up isn't much of a loss is it? In terms of what they can offer the team.

If we are getting 5m for fringe players in Armstrong with a year left and 1m for Sviatchenko...how much is our REAL players worth then?

say 6-7m for they 2, bring in McGinn and Eduoard for that 5 upfront for Eduoard and 2m for McGinn and give them Allan spend 0.

As above and that would be a superb start to the transfer window with no money spent yet,
Get rid of the dead wood and bring in a few more with quality.

5 million is a good starting basis for negotiations moving forward.

If he wasn't so posh and had more agression and heart he would be a much better player. But it's just not in him. His performance against the huns at Christmas comes to mind.

I like the guy but I don't think we should be knocking back that kind of money.

His/his agents attitude last year told you alot about the guy.
