Wasn't missed last season. Calmac and ntcham done the business. Big Rogic too. Would have like to retain him but 7m is a great deal. Always seemed like he was going to move on.

    Very good business.
Wouldn’t expect much to happen until late in the day.

It's his perogative to move on. I'd like to keep him as I think he has a place here and still offers something to the club.

Having said that, the reported initial £7m with additional fees on top of it is incredible business.

So long, Armstrong. Cheers for the effort and good luck although I think it's a huge mistake on your part.

Hope you're wrong. With Lustig and Gamboa at the World Cup, going into the UCL qualifiers with Ralston as possible first choice RB would be the ultimate fear.

Said it quite a few times before on this thread but Celtic will be the pinnacle of Stu's career. Just as it was Ledley's, Hooper's etc.

We need new blood in the first team, and the funds will hopefully be added to the transfer kitty.

£7m, seriously *. If that is the case then fkn amazing money.

Disappointed he's leaving thought he was excellent for us, but has fell away.

    Wish him. Good luck.

Gamboa already out & Sweden won't be far behind.. in any case can see us going with three CBs a lot next season..

So Boyata missing is probably more of a loss, as he seems a main stay for BR and Belgium look like going the distance..

Don't get me wrong RB is a glaring priority..

We also need not to have so many players out with mid to long term injuries throughout the season. If we'd had a more or less fit squad for most of the season we'd have won it by over 20 points easily

Lustig will need a rest after though and Rodgers clearly doesn't see Gamboa in the picture long-term. Not sure it'd be the best idea to pitch him in to our most important games of the season.

Hope we don't adopt a back 3 tbh, even in Scotland I don't think we have the personnel to do it effectively. It leaves us weak in the wide areas in defence and seems to make us very predictable in attack (eg. no overlapping runs from full backs)

The most recent Hibs 2-1 game is a perfect example, both goals lost from crosses in the full back area.

Had one good season but no big loss imo. That money could be used to bring in a better player in a position that we need to improve.

Good player especially in Rodgers first season but fell away last season so not to disappointed, 7m is decent money too.

Don't mind, not much of a loss and 7mil is an awful lot for him.

Agree with this the only players who have left and gone on to do actually do anything of not is Van Dijk and Wanyama and they were both miles and miles ahead of where Armstrong is just now.
