Played well yesterday but still don't think he's good enough at all.

I don't think we can pass judgment on Armstrong, Allan or Christie based on this season.

Deila has almost always played Armstrong as an outside left so no wonder he's looked bad - he's not an outside left!

Christie looks like a potential great player to me but we need to see him given a run in the team.

I'm not sure about Allan but again, I'm not prepared to judge him until I see him after a run in the team.

I think Janko looked very good before he unluckily picked up a bad injury. If you look at the MU fan forums - he was highly rated by people who regularly watched the reserves/youths and there was a lot of surprise that LVG let him go. He's another who needs a run in the team.

Good luck to Deila but, apart from his inability (or refusal) to change tactics that clearly were not working - my other major issue with him was that fact he consistently picked players who were badly off form (Johansson, Biton, Brown) and left the likes of Allan, Christie and Commons on the bench. He also played Armstrong out of position 90% of the time.

Tend to agree but we'll see. I just don't see it but hopefully proved wrong.

Nice line-up. Might play Christie as the second striker dropping deeper, like in the last game...

Agreed. I hope he can be a great player for us, just want him to go out and prove he can.

Sounds like he's doubting himself to me in that interview personally. Doesn't seem very confident at all about what he can do this season. Can just tell with his body language and the way he's speaking.

I don't think this guy has the mentality to handle the pressure here personally which has affected his performances on the park.

Honestly don't see him impressing Brendan much and I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if him and GMS get put out on loan or sold by the end of August.

Could play on the left of a 4-3-3 or in the middle of a 4-4-2 but not in a 4-2-3-1..

    I'd like to see...

SATURDAY’S match against VfL Wolfsburg at Celtic Park will be ideal preparation for Wednesday’s crucial UEFA Champions League qualifier against Lincoln Red Imps, according to Stuart Armstrong.
The Hoops take on the Bundesliga side in a pre-season friendly at Paradise tomorrow, heralding Brendan Rodgers’ first fixture in charge at the home of the champions, but the game has taken on a different shape following the loss to Lincoln in Gibraltar last week in the first-leg of their second round qualifier.
The Celts face the return leg on Wednesday and Saturday’s game against the Wolves is now seen by the players as the perfect way to ready themselves for their mid-week European tie.
“Playing a team like Wolfsburg will be good preparation because they are a quality side and move the ball quickly,” said Armstrong.” They have quality players and it can only benefit us for Wednesday.
“They are a very good side and probably the best side we’ll have faced so far. The tempo will be high and it will be on a nice surface so I think it will be a good game.”
Last week’s disappointing loss to Lincoln came as a shock to the system for the Celts, given not only the disparity between the sides but the wave of optimism that has been building at Paradise since the arrival of the new manager.
However, Armstrong insisted that the defeat has not burst that bubble and said the Bhoys are confident they can turn the tide in the return leg.
“It was a tough one to take for us and the fans, but we are looking forward to next week and making amends,” he said.
“It is what it is - we lost. Everyone is upset about it and rightly so and we’re just looking to train well this week, get good preparation tomorrow and go again on Wednesday.
“They played some nice stuff. There is no doubt about it, we should've been a lot better and won the game but that wasn’t the case so credit to them.
“We are confident and that’s how we’re going into the game, thinking we can win.
“We’ve talked about the game and we’re fresh and have trained today, trying new things, and everyone is feeling confident again so we are looking for that approach tomorrow.”

Wolfsburg have some quality players, but they were rotten in the Bundesliga last year.

Another month another pile of * from this clown.

Calling Red Imps "a good side"?

    "They played some nice stuff?"

Its indicative of the level this guy is at to say things like this.

Despite the love in some of our fans have for him and his boyfriend, and the "ohhh did you see what he did at Utd" *...

... the fact remains, he's pish.

    His boyfriends pish too.

As previously stated, loan them out lenny ffs
