Armstrong played out of position don't remember Henderson being played there much in games when he came on both to me are central midfielders.

Anytime I have seen Armstrong play really well it was as wing back with Dundee United, right side. Don't know why he is on the left, as I think GMS, McGregor or Stokes is more suited to that role.

Not only does he always seem to start, he takes every set play and his delivery is terrible.

Feel right sorry for him just now, why he's getting used as a left winger is a mystery, infective today as usual, if Deila dropped johansen armstrong would be immense in a central position!

Yeah give Allan/GMS/Commons a shot on the left or right and play Armstrong in the middle while Brown is out.

We brought him as a No10 and we've stuck him out wide left. He has neither the pace nor the guile to play the wide role. He's a good player but stuck in the wrong position to accommodate Johansen.

He's not a winger I agree but having said that, his performances from the same position last year, have taken a ridiculously poor dip..

Last year he without being great, he was fairly good overall on the left..

I'm getting a bit annoyed at this 'played out of position' pish.

He is still a professional footballer but he isn't playing like one regardless of where he is on the park.

Doesn't work like that mate, if we were playing Boyata as a striker I wouldn't expect * all from him. It's not rocket science that players play best in their natural positions.

It's a bit different than that though, he has played LM for DU plenty of times. He is not performing just now and it's nothing to do with his position.

I reckon Boyata might score 15/20 goals a season up front as it goes. :smiley-laughing002:

He's just not a left midfielder though, he filled in their on occasion, he's a central player. I'd love us to have a team full of total footballers but we need to play to each players strengths.

That's the problem though. We seem to have about 10 players who all seem to be more suited to playing centrally.

    * knows what formation we would play to satisfy them all.

There's always the option of not playing them mate.

Agree, we seem to be settling for the average SPL grade players
