    Did he actually hit out with that? Surprised I missed it.

    The only player off the top of my head I remember referring to us as a stepping stone was Mo Bangura. Mind he said something like how he was only wanting to stay here for a year? Then Lennon was asked about him when he was injured and he said something along the lines of: "Well hopefully he's back quickly because apparently we only have him for a year" :giggle1:

    SWANSEA are making a £6million move for Celtic contract rebel Stuart Armstrong but face a race against time.

    Supremo Huw Jenkins wants classy Scotland international Armstrong to replace Gylfi Sigurdsson and hopes to agree a low fee.

    Armstrong is in dispute with the Glasgow giants over a new deal and may be open to a switch to the Premier League.

    Jenkins has failed to land his other targets but has switched to Armstrong and is pushing both Celtic and the player for an answer.

    Celtic have offered Armstrong a new deal and he has stalled over the length of it.

    He is under pressure to sign or it will be withdrawn.

    Swansea are the first club to offer cash despite rivals like Southampton looking at him in recent weeks.

    If he goes he will be a big loss imo, really think it would benefit him better to remain here for another season or two, but wouldn't blame him for chasing the big bucks tbh.

    It's just the timing. We've managed to hold on to our star players this summer and Stu just had to ruin it. If he's sold before Paddy comes in, it won't look good for us.
