The way that is portrayed is that without him we wouldn't have earned the points, but it diesn't take into account that another player would play in his place and may well have acored the goals or played the assists and made as much of an impact.

    It is all bogus

Not buying into this whole "his agent is being a *" thing. If that's true, which it probably is, surely it's down to Armstrong to say I want to stay, make it happen and make it happen quickly.

Fast forward 6/7 months and he's out of the team and seeing Ntcham make a name for himself whilst Rodgers has said the contract talks are affecting his performances. Now I don't doubt that Armstrong has probably told Rodgers he wants to stay just so he can keep in his good books, but if he wanted to then he would've already signed. There's no way an agent, against the wishes of a player, can drag out contract talks for six months whilst the player just lets himself get dropped.

If Armstrong really wanted to stay that much he'd get his agent telt.

I can't work out if you're being serious here or not?

Why would I not be serious? We don't play games with 10 men. If Armstrong had not been available an able replacement would take his spot and do a close approximation of his input.

Yes, I'm sure somebody like Scott Brown would step up and smack in 17 goals and around 10 assists.

Infact, it's that easy we've not had a central midfielder do it since Stan Petrov.

It would be hard for Scott Brown to do it because he's already in the team. It wouldn't be unrealistic to think that someone like McGregor couldn't though.

We had an unbelievable season last year and Arnstrong played a big part for 6 months, but he's far from the best midfielder we have. If he win't sign an extension we should punt him - as we should with anyone who has 12 months to go.

He's had one good season with us. So far this year he hasn't looked very good at all. The season before you could have easily been fooled into thinking that he had his boots on the wrong feet. He was * tragic.

Brendan seems to have worked his magic on him last term, but if he won't sign a contract then he should be sold. It's good that he played well at that point because we will get good money for him. Quite frankly, if he hadn't improved dramatically last term he would be heading off into Championship obscurity.

I hope he does sign. He's a good player with real potential and considering that he has improved so much under Brendans tutelage, it would be bizarre for him to go elsewhere. If he does he may well drift back into his own mediocrity that we had to suffer when he played under Deila.

Should be trying to keep our best, within reason. Reality is, we have adequate replacements.
No player bigger than the team. More downs than ups over his Celtic career.

I don't think anycunt will ever be daft enough again to think he's a left winger. Absolutely bizarre decision for us to make him spend 6 months there.

So far he's one of the players that has been in amongst the goals for us again this season, the transfer fee talked about is £3m. That's not a good fee, I'd rather another season.

£3m isn't enough I agree. Double that for an unsettled player and I'd bite someones hand off

I'd rather have the £3m if Armstrong's gonna be sitting here for the next 12 months with his head in England, regardless of how well he did last season...

Think so? I think he's already contributing this season. 3 goals at this stage of the season for a midfielder is reasonable. Thought he was * immense midweek.

Not saying his not, or that he wont, me ol' china.

Just saying, IF he wants to go, then I'd take the money for him the now instead of having a guy hanging about who doesn't want to be here.
