Doesn't matter a * if Armstrong is a born and bred Tim.

Griffiths is a bona-fide Hibs die hard, and still gives 100% to Celtic.

    Wit? :43:

For our biggest double header of the season commitment is a necessity. * having anyone playing whose head is elsewhere. His attitude stank tonight and he should be nowhere near the first XI til he sorts his head out.

I don't subscribe to that theory, we've had loads of successful players who aren't born and bred..

He is intelligent tho and if he can double his wages then he will.

I mean to be fair I don't think that's really a "problem" with Armstrong. Loads and loads of players have come through the ranks of Celtic over the years without having a personal/family connection to the club.

Him not being a Celtic man just kind of explains why he hasn't jumped at the opportunity of extending his stay here, whereas most of us on this forum (and probably KT :50:)- being emotionally attached to Celtic- can't reconcile that.

I'm extremely positive he'd bring more to the team than Ntcham if he started, that atmosphere after lining up alongside that CL anthem will make all our players forget anything happening off the pitch and focus them on the match at hand, helping them to rise to the occasion.

Yep. Not a chance he's STARTING Wednesday. Not after Brendan's comment's..

Brendan has tried everything in the media. Mentioned about green not being grasser in interviews, saying it's close, saying it's concerning now..

I feel like even he's given up hope on him now and conceded defeat..

No going to lie and say a won't miss him if he goes because on his day he is brilliant, however his heads elsewhere with these contracts talks which are affecting his game judging by recent performances. Sooner he signs a new contract or we know for sure he doesn't want to sign a new one the better.

    Not so sure mate..

If we play 3 at the back he might start him and after Bitton's performance the night there's a chance he may go with

    Gordon
    Lustig Simunovic KT
    Ntcham Brown Armstrong
    Forrest Rogic Sinclair
    Griffiths

3 is a risky game as they have a decent threat and pace. We'd be relying on Sinclair and Forrest to put in some shift..

We go to a 3 in game anyway attacking and I'd prefer that to a flat back 3 from the outset I think..

Also that starting 11 leaves barely any quality on the bench to make an impact if need be, bar McGregor then who else, the unconvincing Hayes so far..

Actually I think that he sees that very clearly and might even over-estimate it himself, explaining why he feels his value to the club is perhaps greater than what Celtic can (or are willing to) offer him. To be fair I don't really believe that he is the 'talisman' of our midfield or anything- just a dynamic CM who can get up and down the field and be involved in some goals. We have lots of competition in the middle of the park at the moment so if he ends up leaving it's at least better than a player leaving from a position where we're a bit stretched. Him being an intelligent guy I think he's been frustrated losing his every-match-starter status before a contract resolution has been reached, probably explaining why he looked so pissy today.

With all that said... none of us really have a clue what's going on behind closed doors. :39:
