£3m no way ano he's not for long to go but * me...he's £6m. And if he had a couple years left he's £10m

 

TBH his attitude hasn't seemed right for me. The boy needs to Remember he was treading water for a long time and then from November last year he started to play a bit. I'm all for rewarding players with good contracts for good performances but Armstrong hasn't yet shown his consistency long enough..also the rumour is Griff is on around 10G a week and Armstrong is looking for over 18G a week ...a know who I would give the money too

 

I think he owes a lot to Celtic, and Brendan in particular, for turning him into the player he is today. Before last season he could have left and no one would have really noticed. Thanks to Brendan he is now a first team regular and a Scotland international. He needs to realise that and sign an extension.....even if its just to ensure Celtic get the best possible price for him

 

Starting to feel all a bit Joe ledley like. Felt supremely confident he would sign but the longer it drags on the more doubt creeps into it all.

Still have a gut feeling he will sign mind.

 

I don't agree that he owes us anything he battled hard to get back into BRs plans and seized his chance when he got it. He's played in Scotland for all his career and if he wants a change then that's up to him. He's an intelligent guy and if he wants to play in the EPL with all its financial trappings, its disappointing but unsurprising. He may regret his decision if he does move on but I can understand it if that's his decision. We just need to get it done one way or another, it's best for everyone. He shouldn't be allowed to leave on the cheap tho or for nothing next season.

Good result Wednesday could tempt him sign new deal and crack at champion league again.
Not to fuss if he was sold.
Eboue and ntcham and benyu and Mcgregor has upped his game.
We plenty cover and Rodgers can develop them over season.
Don't think he be defo starter each week anyway. Ntcham and brown be midfield pairing

 

Wouldn't even bother to give a response if £3 million was their offer. As said above needs to be dealt with one way or another, either sign the contract or get him sold at the right fee that we can then reinvest. Personally I think he'd be mental to leave, his career was going nowhere til Rodgers came in, he could quite easily get chewed up and spat out in the multi-million pound squads of the EPL. At Celtic he has a chance to play regularly and build on what is at this point 6 months of promising football.

 

This needs to be resolved very soon. If he reckons he is worth 18k a week what the * is Griff worth. Surely Griff is already on that kind of wage.

 

Think 6 million would be good for someone in last year.And not a lot of money for southampton.
