I get that but if he comes on and scores/plays well it's "yes stu.. Please sign, vital player." Bad game and everyone turns on him. I meself am * off about the contract dilemma but I won't go mad after one bad game... It could be of course that his head isn't in it but we've plenty of players in that area so either way I'll be happy.

Fans seem A lot less tolerant now for some reasons maybe wages they get ,even more so when they seem against the team ,which is us and the players, manager ,with no message coming from Player ,agent ,or club regarding why creates frustration .

I don't think it's really a secret. If it comes across like you don't really want to stay here then you better be performing at your peak on the park or people will turn on you.

Meanwhile, Rodgers has intimated that he would like Stuart Armstrong's position sorted as quickly as possible.

The Hoops midfielder has been in negotiations with the club over a new deal for more than six months but so far there has been no agreements between the two parties.

"I’m hoping that very soon that can be resolved either way," said Rodgers. "I don’t think we are too far away now. I hope for him and the club it can be resolved.

"We haven’t had any offers. It’s something I’d be hopeful of. I have a lot of time for Stuart. I saw him when I first came in, I’ve seen the progress he has made, the confidence he has played with and I want to help him sustain that. I know what his goals are, I know where he wants to be and I think we can help him achieve them here. If that’s the case, he’ll sign. I think stability would be good for him. There are not too many players feel good about entering the last year of their contract. So I am really confident we can get something organised."

I don't know what he's being offered and he may feel that with the players brought in, he may not be guaranteed the game time he had last season or/and he may want a crack elsewhere.

He has the chance here to work under Rodgers. He has the chance to potentially be our next captain. To win trophies. To be part of a dynasty.

You can tell that his current contract uncertainty has definitely had an impact on his performance on the pitch.

Either way, just say what you'd like. If you want to stay or go, just tell us. We can all move on as soon as that happens.

Get him to fk if he doesn't want to stay, he's been fkn mince so far this season anyway.

Let Ntcham or Kouassi play and see what they're about.

Out of the team today, maybe a sign he is for the off.

    Or injured!!

Up to last December SA was continually missing games through a succession of injuries (frequently his back if I remember correctly)
Maybe the pre-season workload has provoked the old problems to return.

Either way, get the contract signed.
Other clubs and fans probably won't be as patient or as appreciative of his talents.

Armstrong will come on in the 2nd half at some point. ;)

  14. Starting to really dislike him, which I know is irrational.

Extremely mate, have a word with yourself.

We all know * all as to what's going on in the background. The sound bites coming from Brendan suggest Stu isn't even looking for a move away, only better contract terms.

Facts: There have been no bids. No contract has been signed, but Brendan thinks we are close and it could be soon.

Folk need to stop lapping up the storm chasers. Every recent news bite has been positive, patience is key.

Feels like we're back where we were one year ago with Armstrong coming off the bench, making silly fouls and generally struggling to get into the game. Granted, I know today was only about five minutes, but still looked so frustrated about things.

McGregor could have a better season coming than Armstrong has last.

Making a right * of signing a new contract with us or whoever he thinks hes going to.....has effected his form and his chances of getting game for Celtic nevermind anyone else.
