He was the only midfielder to have a half decent game tonight

Absolute nonsense. It's easy to make him a scapegoat given his contract position, but he was our best midfielder/attacker by a long way tonight. Yes, he could have played better but he was the only one injecting pace and tempo to our game.

I'm allowed my opinion. You can't just disregard it as nonsense because you don't agree. Everyone sees games differently.
He wasn't the same Armstrong we usually see and I didn't see him at all in the second half.

Sorry I'm in the 'his mind was in another place' camp, complete pish he was.

Plays less than a good season and now he's billy big boots, fair enough if we're * around with a contract,, but I'm going to go in favour of the club at this time.

Only problem is I like him as a player, and is miles ahead of the new guys bought.

Your post is nonsense for your comment that he couldn't care less. His performance was one which stood out as being one of the very few with a bit of drive and desire behind it. I'm not saying he had a great game, but the notion he could not care less is exactly what I suggested, nonsense.

Your second paragraph pretty much sums the whole thing up - very few people know exactly what's going on with his contract situation and can therefore really understand what's going through his head. He didn't have a great game, but his focus, desire and drive were as good as anyone in our team last night. I don't see anyone claiming the rest of the team had their minds elsewhere and one foot out the door...

No contract = time to go Stu.

    We need committed players.

Aye. Really can't believe that the man's had one good season and has suddenly decided that he should be in the EPL or wherever he wants off to.

Get him off the free kicks. Strikes a good ball from open play but technique at free kicks is poor. Hit a dire attempt against Rosenberg when Johnny Hayes was standing there available to take it with his left foot, would have been the far better option.

I agree. I think people are getting carried away with 6 months of good form. Hes a good player but over-rated at times.

He doesn't support Celtic and will get 4 or 5 times his wages. Not happy about it either but it's the facts

    I'm still hoping he signs.

If he is definitely not going to sign though, then I wouldn't waste any more game time on him. We've got McGregor and Ntcham, who are more than capable (bit of an assumption/educated guess on Ntcham) of filling his shoes easily enough.

I know BR rates him and he's meant to put the best team out he can but I would not hold a grudge against him if he dropped Armstrong knowing he's not signing.

I for one won't lose sleep if he goes. Good player had a cracking season last year if he thinks he can kick on and do better at West Bromwich then good luck to the guy.

Clearly not in it for the fans or the club otherwise he would have signed. Maybe see you coming off the bench on MOTD versus swansea Stuart. Don't let the door hit your * on the way out.
