    Armstrong is in danger of becoming the next Gary Hooper, lured to the bright lights of the EPL and then disappearing into obscurity. If he is as intelligent as people make out then he should know hes on to a very good thing and stay with Celtic.

    Love the way he curls they goals in. If he goes obviously we have other players to replace him but just hope he stays. Didn't celebrate like a guy that wants away

    According to the record:

    Rodgers is hopeful he can persuade the playmaker to pen an extension with a view to being sold next summer but the parties have yet to reach an agreement. - * cant even get a transfer target right but know what celtic plans are a year from now - wish all these tabloids would just * off!!!

    He wouldn't disappear though. Armstrong has twice the football brain Gary has. Also most teams cry out for an Armstrong type. He had a bad season under Deila and I wouldn't blame that all on Stu.

    Getting a bit sick of this now, I just want it resolved ASAP.

    Really want him to stay as replacing his goals/assists will be hard, but if he's too tempted by a move to the Premiership, he may regret his decision down the line.

    He seems a clever guy, i just fear he will be thinking with his head (more money) rather than his heart (trophies/adulation).

    I think he's wanting to stay this season then able to leave for free and go where he wants. We will probably be wanting to put in a decent buy out clause with a sell on fee after that, which he may think will scare off potential clubs.

    This I think is more down to how he wants to progress his career, money not being the main factor.

    Took Gordon a while to sign an extension, Broony still hasn't signed either. Lawwell is obviously a very tough negotiator, which is good and bad.

    Aye true. But it seems quite clear that Armstrong's agent is playing hardball, which makes things a lot more trickier. Don't think there was such complications with Gordon and doubt there will be much trouble with Brown either.
