    These clauses can be inserted by either side. The problem is then agreeing on a figure both will accept, as the club will want a higher figure than the players representatives that's for sure.



    Aye you are right with what you have said mate, I'm just thinking out loud and looking for a reason as to why its not happened/signed that's all. These clauses are popular and the board like to plan ahead and this would help, although that adds to the time it takes to reach an agreement. *, for all we know its maybe as simple as we have offered X amount and he wants far more.

    I like to think the money is already there/set-aside for Roberts - it's basically a case of waiting for Roberts' decision.

    I'm sure behind the scenes Rodgers will know if Armstrong is wanting to sign and his inclusion in the starting XI is hopefully an indication of that.

    I was at the PFA awards this year and was talking to a Coach who knows his agent. I was told then that he did not want to sign a new contract. Wanted to play in England however he did say top 6 side only..

    He must have a very high opinion of himself if he thinks he can play for a top 10 club let alone a top 6. One good season after several average seasons does not make Stuart Armstronf good enough for Chelsea et al. That's what I think anyway.

    Popped in to Birkenstock for the missus the other day and a wee guy walked in bandanad up. Couldn't make out who he was but he was talking to a wee lassie behind the counter about soles and his partner moving to England after being in Dundee and Glasgow and how the thought of long distance was killing him..
