For the more he is a good player if he doesn't have any respect for Celtic and is trying to make us ransoms he can * off. We have been since before January trying to renew his contract and I really doubt we haven't offered him a good offer. It was BR and his staff that made him an excellent player and we allowed him to play against the best teams of the world, in front of 50k passionate fans, and win in a few years what players usually dont win in their entire careers. If he doesn't value this then the bench at Southampton is his place

 

Get him tae *. He had a good season but is easily replaceable. Let him go down south and earn more cash but watch his career stall. He will be a sub at best.

For a seemingly intelligent guy, it would be a pretty dumb thing to do in my opinion.

 

No one knows if he would be a sub at best. That, not only insults the player but also insults us considering he was arguably our best midfielder last season. Saying he isn't good enough for Southampton but is good enough for us is ridiculous. Steven Davis is a stand out performer for them. He would be a great signing for them. However, I will file this under bullshit and I would hope that he stays. He's a smart guy and he will want the best deal possible. Nothing wrong with trying to get the best contract you can. We all do it in our own lifes. Footballers are no different.

 

Yep. As previously stated Armstrong needs us more than we need him. Better players than him have left and we've survived. I'm even more confident of that with the management team we have in place.

That said I hope he signs a new deal. At worst it puts the club in a better place if we decide to sell.
