I don't think anyone was even hinting that he was unwelcome here because of his accent. He is unusually well spoken, people commented on it and that should be the end of it. Don't see why anyone is taking offence to people pointing out something about his character. Anyone could go into the James Forrest thread and post that he sounds a wee ned and no one would care.

I dont actually know what happened here, I like him and think he's a good player who I wanted us to sign. Think cause I said about the way he talks people thought I never liked him or something.

I posted in the Mackay-Steven thread that he needed a hair transplant and a tan before he signed to be good enough looking to play for us and nobody said a word.

Anyone else a bit sad to see Dundee Utd lose 4 top-class players in less than a year? Before anyone says they only care about Celtic, me too; but in the long run we need competition.

 

No, because 2 of those top class players are now ours and the other 2 are giving a good account of themselves in top leagues.

Hopefully they reinvest the money wisely and can continue bringing the young players through. They have lost players like Russel, Goodwillie, Daly, Robertson, Dixon etc in the past and have managed to replace them. whilst Utd have lost a few, Aberdeen have managed to pull off a coup by signing Mclean

 

A little bit. Dundee Utd will never have the resources to compete with us though, there are probably 4-5 teams in Scotland that could do it: Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs and Rangers.

The other 99% of me is * delighted we have secured two of Scotland's most brightest talent for a relatively good price, and also managed to keep them both in Scottish fitba.

 

Not in the slightest. Any top class player that is produced by any team in Scotland should always be signed by us before anyone in the premiership can get a look in. We have let too many decent players go down south.

I do, I just didn't want to say and be shouted at. I mean don't get me wrong - im glad we have them, they are great but I just fear for United and its disappointing they won't be as competitive for a wee while.
