SA: "It was obviously not perfect conditions for football, especially with the weather."

SA: "We knew it’d be a tough afternoon but I thought we dealt with it great and really enjoyed the victory in the end."

SA: "The first-half was a bit stop-start and we took a bit of time to get going as a team."

SA: "Griff gave us a great advantage going into the second-half so that was a nice cushion for us."

SA: "After the sending-off we had more chances than we did in the first-half."

SA on his Christmas cracker of a goal: "I had a bit of time and space and it was on my right foot as well."

SA: "I knew I could get a connection here on the astro turf sometimes so I thought I might as well have a go."

SA: "Scoring goals is always nice to help the team and when they go in like that it’s just that extra bit nicer

The best managers don't always need to go into the transfer market to find solutions, they can get the best out of players already in the squad who're struggling a bit or have been deemed not good enough.

Yeah that's a good point, although additional quality in the right areas is always welcome.

Thing is, everyone was happy when we signed him because we seen how well he was doing at Utd. Just didn't work out well and most people knew why, most of of all Brendan and what a transformation. To dig out a goal like that when we're in a tough match on a tough ground with crappy uninspiring weather is excellent but it's his ability to get all around the pitch, like that goal clearance off the line against Dundee, and make things happen that is truly exceptional and will help us in our quest to win the treble.

I'ts the double and the Qualifiers I'm more worried about though and if we can add a couple of midfielders and maybe an other CB then we should be able to reach the Group Stages again. I think he will be a key part of our team getting success from those games.

This will be a big plus for Brendan, his 2 top strikers finding the back of the net, the poor conditions and pitch didn't dampen the spirits of the players, a lot of positives to take away.

Him and Brown where so vital when we went down to 10, covering the whole midfield between them and splitting them open going forward. Some strike Stu!
