    Aye, something I've been wanting from him. He's definitely a lot tougher nowadays. That tackle is a good example, but he used his strength well a few times today.

    Quite an unusual situation with Armstrong, has some brilliant games but I bet most people still want to see us bring in someone else to partner brown. I thought Armstrong was quite poor in the champions league but if he keeps improving at the rate he's doing then what's to say we need to bring in another central midfielder?

    We definitely still need another 2 or 3.

    His form is promising but other than him and Brown you have Biton and McGregor. Biton can't be relied upon 100 percent of the time and McGregor is more of an impact player for me, like today.

    A player the level of McCarthy would be ideal. Brown won't be around forever and I'd see James as his ideal replacement.

    If we were to get McCarthy, I wonder how Rodgers would use him. At Hamilton he was quite dynamic and sort of box to box, but since moving to England he's been more defensive.

    Brown with McCarthy and Armstrong in front of him. Christ that sounds sexy.

    Brown and McCarthy as the holding two, allow one of either of them to roam and bit and run the game, while the other protects the back four. Would be an ideal scenario imo. Armstrong or Rogic playing ahead of them, thats a solid midfield.
