And I stand by that, he may have been listed as a RB, but he spent most of the game in midfield or making runs off their defence, what part of me saying it was a false position do you fail to grasp ffs, ok * he played RB you happy...

The guy is definetly growing in his role. Who knows maybe we don't need to buy an attacking CM in January. Well pleased with his efforts recently.

Since when did we need an attacking midfielder?

I feel that in games like this where the opposition play 10 at the back a good attacking midfielder would do exactly what Armstrong done for his goal and also this reflects the way he has been playing over the last half dozen games or so.

Who else have we got that can make those runs through the middle and punish teams?

The goal doesn't mask the fact his passing has been woeful for the most part the entire game.

In Europe we would have been punished at least once from his shocking lack of composure on the ball in the middle of the park.

Yep, like big Rogic if we can get more than 60 mins out him. I would be pleased with also. You don't seriously think commons (much as i luv the wee fella) will feature as part if BR's plans going forward do you? And Bittons not the answer either.

I meant got when Rogic is * after 65 minutes... Commons has lost a bit of beef and we know he's capable, in Scotland, at least. But... I've always rated Armstrong in that position but he's still behind Tam.

Nir is not an AM mate... It's his position I'd maybe be looking for in Jan.

I'm just meaning with Rogic, Armstrong and even Commons (if needed), we're ok in that position. I'd even maybe try Paddy, Scotty or Forrest before spending cash in that position.

Can't disagree with your thoughts on Rogic or Armstrong. Stand by my thoughts on Commons. McGregor, Bitton and even Christie will be ahead of him now.

Paddy's not ours and is a winger who can't shift Forrest at present! Broony is playing out his skin in that DM role, so wouldn't move him and technically he's not suited to that type of AM role. Forrest in that role no thanks first 50/50 he shat out of he would get crucified.

I'm happy to see Rogic and Armstrong continue to develop. But wouldnt,'t say no to a Petrov, Lambert or Maestro. Who knows maybe Santa will bring us one !!
