Well that does make sense but what is the answer to the mystery that Bitton was regarded not long ago as one of our best players capable of controlling the ball in midfield with his sense of positioning blessed also with the ability to make beautiful passes? Some people actually said he was similar to Busquets if not quite on the same level of course, at least the same wavelength.

Is it his fault or Brendan's fault that we're not seeing it these days? I don't see how he can't easily fit into Brendan's system as he can move the ball fast and is capable of quick one two triangle passes. Unless he looked good in a bad team that Ronny had created? A team much slower and less fitter that allowed him to dictate our play at his pace? I don't believe that either, he's too talented, but something's up and it would be good to find out what so we can get the best out of him again.

 

Playing well at the moment,hope he can keep it up,finally getting game time in the middle of the park.

 

Bitton is the guy that's meant to offer protection to the back four & it just not his game. It shows in domestic games & therefore is really exposed in Europe. On the ball he's fine, off it he's not. Doesn't see danger quick enough, won't track runners who play wee one two's around him & is often outmuscled as he dilly dally's on the ball trying to be clever. That is not so worrying 30 yards from their goal but where he plays its 30 yards from ours & the team is in on our defence. Bitton sees himself as a creative player who should be playing further forward & maybe that's where he would be better suited but in our team he's only going to be playing DCM & he's not what we need.

 

Like this guy, he always looks so awkward but seems to somehow hang on to the ball.

Bitton looks low on confidence and needs a rest, this guy is ready made to drop in.

 

Has to stay in the team ahead of bitton gives us a better threat going forward and protects the defence better

 

Agreed has worked hard and took his chance with a very good performance on Wednesday noght and followed that up with another good one today. Now that he is finally getting a chance to compete for a spot in his best position in the middle I think we will see him at his best.

 

Looking better under Rogers. Much better option than Bitton at the moment. He's been utter garbage this season and the change in the play when Armstrong has came.on for him is unreal. More suited to our system at the moment

 

This guy is horrible, loses the ball all the time and cant pick out a pass in the final third.

 

He may not be great but he's the best we have right now for that position

 

He was sloppy at times but he's still a far better option than Bitton. Gives us far more energy in the middle and gets us up the pitch.

Armstrongs position will be one Rodgers will be looking to fill in the transfer market. He's a good player at SPFL standard but not at Champions League level. Gave the ball away too much and was lucky it didn't cost us a goal.

 

Tough, cause I thought he was brilliant yet he couldn't get a whole lot going (if that makes any sense). Had tons of energy, was all over the park, and was really positive both offensively and defensively. But on the ball, he just didn't have it. Passing was average, couldn't get the cutting edge ball in at all, and was caught in possession far too often. Think overall, he had a pretty good game, but we still need better.

 

That's the most responsibility I've seen him take in a Celtic jersey..

Best performance in my opinion. Never stopped once..

 

He is getting better each game he plays...it's like having a new player
