Not a good player, and i wasn't for wanting him on at all yesterday, but......he did well and seems to be a player they can't handle running with energy and directness at them centrally..

 

He was good and I was moaning like * when he was coming on

 

Same, looked and see him touching his fringe (ok I just made that up but probably true) and thought fucksake this *..

I still don't think he's good enough at all, but domestically as an impact sub to bring a bit of energy and legs, he'll do for now. As I say, I don't think they can handle his runs, as they are slow as * at the back and have no shape, and he runs in to them..

 

He is a good player. Very direct when he's on his game.

 

Hes a squad player good to have for cover and impact subs

 

I'm not a big fan but I thought he did well when he came on yesterday, the reason being: he was replacing Bitton.

The reality is, he is a huge step down when he is brought on to replace Rogic but coming on for Bitton - who is a fairly limited player anyway - can be a step up.

I wouldn't mind him starting in the middle with Brown for a while to see how he gets on. Maybe that is the position we could use him in.

 

Earned a start over bitton imo, played great when he came on and bitton has looked of the pace the last couple of games.

 

Will take many more performances like that to convince me, decent squad player.

 

Has to be put in for Bitton.

Armstrong's issue is his consistency he is very hot and cold, whereas Bitton is consistently * and has one good game in 10.

Armstrong Buzzing about cdm with Broonie to guide him actually sounds like a decent high energy, harrassing , snapping chasing dynamic pairing.

Armstrong has shown in some big games that he can add something to the team.

Faded a bit during the game but was a good all round performance and an incredibley composed finish. Good game from him.

 

Thought he was probably our best player tonight, maybe other than Paddy.

 

Man of the match I think tonight. If he can just keep consistency he can be a Ledley type player for this team.

 

Played well tonight and scored the clincher.

Well done Armstrong. It is in him to be a player. Just needs to do it more and graft/be harder
