At the start of the season i'd have put Bitton ahead of Armstrong. Totally changed my mind after the last couple of months. Stuart is hungrier and gives us that drive that sleepy head doesn't and seems to be in his element playing in central midfield. I thought he couldn't cut it but happy to have some humble pie. :)

For the 2nd Glasgow Derby in a row I've questioned the decision to bring on Armstrong. In the first one I dint think Rogic should have went off and in this one I thought McGregor was the better choice. Wrong both times and I think I'll shut my trap and leave it to the professionals in future :56:

    Well done stretch!

Armstrong needs to start ahead of Bitton.

Bitton hasn't been contributing much to games at all, whereas Armstrong has looked good recently.

More energy in the squad when he came on. A good display.

He changed the whole pattern of our play. Put them firmly on the back foot. The difference in both managers substitutions today was clear to see.

Great change by Rodgers. Armstong was excellent with the driving runs. Sevco couldn't handle him.

Far better player when in a more natural position.

He has played brilliantly against them the last twice he has came on, especially today. That's the type of performances I was expecting when he signed. Very rarely have we seen him show that promise especially starting games.

That is his position . He is actually a very similiar player to Brown , can get stuck in and has thay awareness and skill to wriggle out of tight spots and drive the team forward from our own third.

Brilliant today, should definitely get a chance to make that spot beside Brown his. Night and day difference in terms of workrate, attitude and ability over Bitton at the moment

Couldnt agree more, shows alot more desire and plays the game at a higher pace than Bitton.

He was great when he came on today. Same as last month when he came on in the second half against the huns.

If he could do that every game we'd be laughing. Start him over Bitton in midweek.

Pretty much my sentiments too, I'm happy to be proved wrong and hopefully the confidence will do him well and he'll be a very important player for us from now on. He definitely offers more pace and attacking intent than Bitton which is what Rodgers wants from his teams and players.

As far as I've seen Rodgers ability to spot and time a substitution has been excellent. Though maybe I would have subbed Bitton earlier, I can't complain at how it worked out and the game did change just at that time when the impetus might have swung the Huns way as we ran out of ideas/confidence.

Have been a Bitton fan in the past, dont think he is done yet, but you gotta think that Armstrong offers more in the end to end energy and running the Rogers wants. The problem with Bitton is that he drifts in and out of the game......I think must be time to give Armstrong the nod from the start and see if he can give a Brown performance for 90 minutes

Might even be worth trying Armstrong for the first 60/70 minutes and then letting Bitton on to let loose with all his energy for a short space of time. Although I'm not sure if it's in his nature to play high intensity football. Could be a way to find out.
