I thought he did alright today. I'm not his biggest fan either.

I don't know if it's a bias I've developed but I thought he looked slow today.

The stream I was watching the game on had no sound which was crap. But to be honest with no commentary I forget he was even on the pitch.
It's a shame really because when he came in last Jan I felt he gave us a real energetic boost & more pace in our play. Him and GMS. I still wouldn't be in a hurry to cut him loose just yet unless we had a player (or two) coming in in Jan.

The selection of this guy ahead of Commons/Christie behind the striker is just completely baffling. He offers practically no technique, creativity or goal threat. First touch can be really dreadful at times and his passing rarely penetrates the opposition.

Started all right, then faded. Christie needs to be in there, I think, when Rogic is out.

He's had a few chances now and he's simply not doing it.

I'd rather see Christie get his opportunity in that position, think he has more ability and end product, Commons would also be much better in there.

I thought he played well, especially first half, was involved a lot in the play and most of the attacks came through him. Sinclair seemed to be the quietest forward today, Forrest and Tierney were great on the wings, Armstrong done well in the hole and Dembele up front, Sinclair not involved as much but good in flashes.

When Armstrong went off and we moved to 3-5-2 we were less effective, Griffiths and Dembele didnt see much of the ball, Roberts and Sinclair were quiet and Jamesy took a while to get going again on the left but there was a gap between defence and attack as Sinclair didnt do as well playing more in the middle, if we left Armstrong on and took off Sinclair we'd probably have done better.

Agree with this, they both looked a level below.

Also agree that Christie should be getting game time ahead of him, he has looked sharp whenever I've seen him.

"To know you can play at that level and fit in at that level was nice.”

This is a quote from Armstrong in a recent interview he done with the Celtic View in regards to him playing against Man City.

The boy is deluded and lying to himself.

LIKE every other young player growing up, Stuart Armstrong harboured dreams of playing in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League. This season, that dream has become a reality, with the midfielder coming on as a substitute in Celtic’s first two group-stage fixtures – away to Barcelona and at home to Manchester City.

Now the midfielder is looking forward to matchday three and the visit of Borussia Monchengladbach to Celtic Park, and having savoured the unique atmosphere of a European night at Paradise in the 3-3 draw against Manchester City last month, he’s anticipating another special occasion this Wednesday.

And speaking to the Celtic View, Armstrong explained that the next two UEFA Champions League fixtures against Monchengladbach are crucial to the Hoops’ European aspirations this season.

“We always knew when the group was drawn that Monchengladbach would be the main competition – not to say that we can’t get anything off Manchester City or Barcelona, it’s just we know they are tougher sides,” he said.

“We know at home we can put up a fight against anyone as we have shown and players before have shown in the past. Having now got the draw against Manchester City, two good results against Monchengladbach could put us in a very good position.

“It was a dream come true to play in the Champions League because it’s something you watch when you’re younger and you dream of being a part of it, so to actually play in the competition against world-class teams is fantastic, but looking beyond that you want to be able to do well and not just be there to take part.

“Obviously the Barcelona game was very disappointing with mixed emotions of the experience of playing there against the world’s best but losing 7-0. That was disappointing.

“To make up for that against Manchester City and put in a very good performance, and to play a part in that as well, was a much better experience. To know you can play at that level and fit in at that level was nice.”

Well I think I will get attacked by many but really feel that even Commons would fit much better in the team than Armstrong. Christie also worth a shout.

Commons and Christie 100% should be getting game time ahead of Armstrong.

Out of all of them as Rogic' understudy I would go Commons, Christie, Armstrong.

Common's career is winding down, far better to give the experience to young Christie.

Brendan obviously isn't a fan anyway.

He lacks a physical presence in his game, often shirking out of 50/50 tackles.

If he could stamp more authority in the middle of the park, put his foot on the ball and dictate more, with speed, he could be a real asset for us.

Maybe Brendan can turn him into a better player, in time.

Snap, if Rogic gets yanked as he normally does I hate seeing Armstrong being the one replacing him.

Against City we completely lost the midfield when that change happened. I know the Manager likes his energy but he's a massive drop down in quality from Tam.

Sick of the sight of him. If I see another one of his * arsed attempts at goal tonight I'll crack up.
