He's definitely a quality player. He's not as good as Stan Petrov but I would class him as the same type of player as Petrov.

I was in the same boat always wanted him then kinda went off the idea a few weeks ago but after watching him again tonight he's what we need someone who is going to run at players and take them on. He is a really strong runner with the ball and has a fair bit of pace about him also a very intelligent player and I believe he'd do well here

He has plenty of scope to improve, more so than GMS (sorry Rosko sir). Can assist and score from the midfield.

I want him here now more than I did before.

I want him and I think we'll get him. ~£1.2m should do it.

Utd will hold out for more than double that. I'd happily pay them double for him.

Obviously Stuart Armstrong should be the number 1 priority. He ran the show last night and was everywhere on the pitch. Helped work the ball out from defense, links up with the strikers, but really he shields the ball awfy well, he's calm and composed on the ball, simple passes and defense splitting passes like the pass for GMS's goal.

Since the Summer i've said it's a big, big deal waiting to be done. He's a leader as well and that comes at a price. It's up their with the deal for Scott Brown we did from Hibs.

The price could be anything, but i don't think it happens for less than Gauld, so it's somewhere between £3-4million.

Like i said, he'd come straight into the team.

The goal he scored was a peach, but if you watch GMS's run, he takes the centre back out the way and that's what really frees up the space to shoot and score.

Armstrong is the main reason they got all three points. A goal and an assist. He's the driving force in the team.

But i think they come as a pretty decent pairing, filling two positions that need filling pretty much over night. But one deal is easier to do than the other.

I'm pretty sure if we signed Armstrong, GMS would follow him here and if we waited a wee while maybe on a free. It's a similar price with Guidetti. But the problem is we don't know what the budget is. If the budget is their to take some of the loans on then maybe that's what the budget is, and you'd simply ditch those and bring in a leader in midfield.

The longer we put it off, the more likely he'll end up somewhere else, so the fannying around is a bit dangerous, in terms of missing out.

Get him signed. Weve missed the boat on too many good scottish players before. If Kayal and Commons DO leave, then this is a must happen signing and a good fit for us.

Plus the boy can play a bit. Get it done Celtic!!:shamrock:

Personally the more I see and hear of him I want him signed. He seems a player that suites the way we are looking to set out perfectly. A wee bit of pace, very attacking minded, can slot in anywhere along the attacking midfield 3 and even behind in the midfield 2. Still only 22 as well so room for improvement.

Decent enough player but I'd pass. He's definitely got something but can see his career going either way. Just something lacking.

The only thing Stuart Armstrong is lacking is a four year deal at Celtic.

If we really wanted him we'd have him tied up by now, cue a Everton or championship side paying £2m plus add ons

After all.... He is a punt

I mean turn of pace. He is not in the Forrest, Tonev level of speed. He is more like Johansen.

That's not exactly slow for a midfielder is it?

I'd sign him, Brown Johanson and Armstrong in a revolving three.
