Your basically saying you would rather get a defender to be settled in for next year rather than focus on europe this year an get a quality attacker in now ?

 

All signings are a risk mate. We've signed quite a few diddies in last few years but it's difficult to get a good one with the fees we pay.

 

I see your point also but if vvd or denayer get injured ambrose is back in there and could be juve all over again . We could trim that squad by 10 names and not even notice they are gone and save half a million every 10 weeks or so and we wouldn't be squabbling about £250,000 for gms . I suppose I am just sceptical now because we keep adding to the squad and can't get rid .

Lawwell could easily tip off a journalist and get him to run a story, the rest will follow suit. He's a powerful guy within Scottish football.

 

I would agree with him too tbh mate. I don't think we should be buying in players for the EL this season. We should allow the squad that got us there to progress or fail. We have Guidetti in aswell mind.

Besides that, we're kidding ourselves if we think we're big enough to buy someone in January that will turn us into real contenders for that tourament. We can't afford that kind of impact player, few clubs can.

Attacking midfielder, fast, fairly strong, hardworking, direct player who gets into the box and is a decent goalscorer.

I would say similar in style to german players like Muller and Schurrle but plays better in the centre like a Lampard to compare him to well known players.
