I thought he was going to put Loovens in for Crosas, when the big guy was warming up - but no show!

We all know our defence are not world beaters and they have their shaky moments but from 70-75 minutes on we looked to have regained the midfield so at that point i don't think it would have been right to go more defensive. It would only have given Motherwell another lift to see us substitute that way!

No mate read my thread after the first half, you will see a fair view given.http://www.talkceltic.net/forum/cel...vement-awareness-but-most-all-commitment.html

The second half just exposed our defenseive problems, I think your just blind to them.

Everyone else can see them mate have a read at all the comments.

WGS showed a lot of balls today, in a must win game following a shocking home defeat to Rangers - he dropped the club's player of the year (last year) in McGeady, a massive player for us in Naka & one of his favorite players in Hartley.

He ate some humble pie & put Robbo back into CM - why the * he has been on the wing for sooo long is beyond me!! & in the same vein he put Broon on the wing - following his good showings on the wing for Scotland.

He really shook the team up & on the 1st half showing it looked to have worked, so a round of applause for him is deserved - that took a lot of balls in my opinion.

You may well be right mate it may well have given them a lift. I just feel the game was far to open at 4-2, we had it won and should have bottled it up.

Anyhow the game finished at 4-2 so it worked out well, the subs just made little sense to me.

Can't see him dropping a CB with CL/International experience for someone with Championship experience, not saying thats the correct decision.

It is time wgs ate humble pie and looked around him to see what others see. He doe's not have the monopoly he thinks he has on knowing whats best for celtic.
    But will it last.

To be fair he does have the monopoly just now because he is the manager. He doesn't have to listen to anyone if he doesn't want to.

He would be a silly man not to listen to other people with genuine football knowledge but he's the one that the buck stops with.

Its going to be a case of losing 4 goals and scoring 5. Our attacking play was brilliant and we should have scored more, but when 'Well had a go at us we looked vunrable. But its 3 points and they add up. Mon The Celts!

If he does not drop McManus we WILL lose more and more goals.

    He is a total liability.

Strachan has to have the courage to realise his mistake and drop him.

He is squad material at best.

Loovens must be scratching his head.

Are you really going the route of informing us how we feel? :97:

I think we both know from past posts how disgruntled I am with LB situation and there are some major areas he could improve on. (McManus, rotating more -- like we saw today, changing tactics to the situation, etc.)
However, I've had it with the anti-Strach "everyone we've signed is complete pish and we haven't actually won the last 3 titles" brigade.

I beg to differ and we've gone over this before. You can't point at the quantity of players coming and going and say there's been investment. You have to look at their value, and it's clear as day to me that funds have been drip-fed from day one.

all had International duty too :50:

Plus Hinkel was only on as a sub.

He made the correct desicions, he is not my favourite manager but you have to give credit where its due.

    Was Naka playing for Japan?
