16/1 with hills that's interesting, honestly can't remeber him being as short as that in any list, Man City a side 2 seasons ago.

The reason why I go on about odds is to the fact many on here have a very high opinion of our manager. However that opinion does not reflect the general opinon around the country, or he would be amongst the front runners for most jobs. It is just a fact that he has not been a front runner in any market, for the praise he recieves from many of our supporters I find that fact to be contradictory.

However he is amongst illustreous names for the Newcastle job, although again not amongst the favourites. To be honest mate I am glad he's not but I think the fact he is not a front runner somewhat proves my point.

 

Kind of disagree with you there mate. you look at the odds for the newcastle job and wgs is ahead of some big names.

If it was the Fulham or West Ham job, Gordon Strachan would be about 50-1 in my opinion, thats because the bookies know he would be more intrested in being the newcastle manager than West ham or Fulham. And would find it hard to leave a club like celtic for those clubs.

Just look at Mark Magee he is higher than wgs for the newcastle job, that does not mean Maghee has more respect down south, it means Maghee would be more intrested in that job in my opinion.

Sven is about 40-1, thats because he has just signed a mega bucks contract with Mexico, he would not be that if it was the Liverpool job say.

 

If everyone who wasn't happy with the way we're playing did that Hampden would be a sell out.
