He's dragged us to 3 successive championships and has got us out of two tough UCL groups.

If this forum is a gage on opinion in Scrachan, then i'm sorry but you're in the MINORITY.

    I can't be arsed arguing about this anymore - it's * ridiculous!

I believe in him, I believe he'll bring us a 4th title. It will be close and there'll be arseups along the way but I still think he'll do it.

I also believe he'll walk at the end of the season regardless of success and who says what.

Would you blame him with the lack of backing from a large amount of fans?

yeah you cant argue with strachans record it is amazing

but the football being played is not exciting, no matter what WGS says !

This might explain the * atmosphere at Celtic Park these days.

But to all the celtic fans who think WGS is a great manager can i ask this.

Why is he never, NEVER linked to any vacant jobs that come up in england ?

IMO that could easily have happened if we had scored the first goal and not made the big errors. The first goal can swing the whole game in an OF match. What actually happend is the first goal was scored against the run of play. If it had been scored by us with the run of play then we may have gone on to win well.

I think there was no inevitability about which way that game would swing and was all down to a few bad individual performances. What I am saying is I dont think there was much wrong with our player quality overall or our team selection (given who was fully fit) or even our general play. It was one of these days - partly freak (Artur) and partly due to our one really weak link (left defence). I just think the widening of the criticism to the whole team and the selection is unjustifed. Anyway, ive stated my view a lot in the last couple of days so not much point in continuing to do so.

Not completely no. He has his faults (LB carryon) but it would be arrogance/one mindedness to blame him for everything.

its not that impossible, its a well known fact that those two * at centre half cant cope with any dud with a physical presence; Higdon, McIntyre, Lee Miller, Cousin so just imagine what BBJ and Sutton would have done to them.

there is also the fact a midfield of Lambet, Lennon and Petrov is far far superior to The headless chicken hun and hartley.

and big Bobo could have coped with vennegoor, samaras and mcdonald on his own

thats it just continue to hide behind the paper championships won against nobody's, lets not bother to see the bigger picture, lets not bother to face up to the fact that we are playing the worst style of football in over a decade, lets not bother that we are paying 400 plus a year to sit and watch utter pish

The reason us who rate Strachan go on about 3 in a row and twice last 16 is because it's fact. He has delivered. Not mentioning that in his support would be like saying Jock Stein was pish. He only got us 9 in row and won the European Cup.

Did i stop supporting the club? When did that happen? Must have missed it.
I don't support our manager because, in my opinion, his buys are, on the whole, absolute garbage and i think his tactics are utter * most of the time.
Unless i've missed something, i'm entitled as a fully paid up season ticket holder to voice my opinion, neither you nor anyone else will stop me.

When couldn't they cope with these so called duds? I think they've managed fine against them and better forwards coming to think of it. They are also capable of playing the ball out of defence and finding a Celtic jersey unlike Big Joos and Balde.

Best of MON v Best of WGS, not much in it I'd but I would agree MON's team were slightly better.

It's alright when you have Moravcik, Mjallby, Larsson, Stubbs, Lambert, Petrov, McNamara, and Boyd already in place though.

Lets not forget MoN inherited the great Henrik Larsson and had a fortune to spend....

Exactly:50: Another thing which makes WGS so good at what he does is eliminating the deadwood before many people (including myself) would notice that the player was finished or just not good enough. I mean how many players that WGS's shown the door actually went on to prove him wrong?

    I wouldn't under estimate Villareal.

To answer the question, if the team carries on playing the very same mind numbing, pulling your hair out your head, un-inspiring third rate football. However still went on to achieve it's goals, then personally like each of the last three seasons, I would be absolutely ecstatic. Although I would still be hugely disappointed as to the manner those goals were achieved.

What would make me 100% a Strachan fan, would be to see an exciting, talented team that played the Celtic way. With flair, energy, skill, passion a brand of football, of which our clubs history was partly made on. To have a team that plays like that does not mean you have to sacrifice success.

All that would be bliss but on top of that for me Strachan would have to receive a personality bypass. A figure head of our club should act with respect and dignity, not comedy and disrespect. Some like that side of his character, * from time to time I also enjoy his banter. However IMO their is a time and a place for humour but not every time and place.
