i hope that we won't be as stupid as last year and dropping SO many points, last december, Inverness, Hibs, St. Mirren.... we dropped points! and the huns took advantage and started to get a gap.... we just have to take every game seriously... and the huns will lose points!

he's dragged the level of our club down a good few notch's in his time. when i sit there bored out my mind watching his * awful style of football watching absolute duds like Hinkle, Wilson, Naylor Caldwell, McManus, Hartley, McCourt, Samaras, Vennegoor. i cant believe its only been 5 years since we were being entertained watching guys like, Mjallby, Lambert, Lennon, Petrov, Sutton, Hartson and Henrik.

how have we became so full of duds so quick.

with the exception of Boruc, and at a push McGeady and Nakamura there is nobody in our squad that would have played in Seville.

he has wasted so much money bringing in so many duds it's unreal. i mean 36 players in 3 years is * shocking and how many are actually still there and of the one's who have left how much money has he wasted with them?

and on top of his constant signing of duds and pish football style he's a very irritating little *, which to be honest is not really something i look for in a celtic manager. A celtic manager is someone we should all be able to relate to someone we feel has a passion for our club i.e. Tommy Burns, MON, Billy McNeill and someone we can all get behind. instead we have a guy that a fair old majority * despise - now this has nothing to do with his religion, upbringing etc its to do with him as a man nothing else - he is very easy to dislike!!!

Gordon Strachan is a brilliant manager and people should just get of his back you cant win 3 titles in a row and have 2 sucessful champions league runs (which is about to be 3 :icon_mrgreen:) and be a bad manager. Were only into the 4th game of the season can you at least wait till the end of the season then people might consider your opinions.

No players would have played in seville..... well how many cups did we win that year??

how many 3 in a rows has MO'N done

how many last 16's has MO'N done

Get off wgs's back, if 3 in a row doesn't get his respect then nothing will!

stop hiding behind paper championships won against nobody's, Venglos, barnes or maccari could have won 3 in arow against those huns teams.

his side is not half the team O'Neills was and its * depressing to see how far we've fell since seville partly due to starchan partly due to the tight arsed board

did MO'N win anything with that seville squad that year?

wgs has worked on a budget! MO'N had those player because he had the money, wgs hasn't and he has done great!

you can argue the rangers teams haven't been quality, but we beat AC milan, Man Utd, Benfica, all with this same side of these strachan players!

so what is you solution? sack wgs? and then bring in who? in the middle of a season.... we would be *!

You must really rate the current Rangers team as they were as successful as MON's Seville side.

I think WGS would love to spend 18 million on 3 players with high wages if he could and as for the others on the list, MON didn't put they guys together. You could add Agathe and Thompson though.

I would dread him spending that kind of money given his track record, look at his big money signing's not exactly been great have they; Jarosik, Gravesen, JVoH, Brown, Donati.

how have we became so full of duds so quick.

    Who's the duds?

    See previous post

Is Balde getting a game under WGS?Loovens, Caldwell and McManus are better than him or even what he was back then IMO but that apart you're right. The only other contender that WGS has been able to bring in what with the budget compared to the Seville era is Roy Keane.

Just because dumb and dumber are getting a game ahead of Balde it doesnt mean they are better than him its just a more damning assessment of Strachan.

he has wasted so much money bringing in so many duds it's unreal. i mean 36 players in 3 years is * shocking and how many are actually still there and of the one's who have left how much money has he wasted with them?

well start believing, the paper that's been covering over the cracks the last few years was well an truely ripped off on sunday, our team is full of mediocre players from diddy spl clubs like, Hibs, Dundee Utd and Motherwell and if we dont stop filling up our team with players from diddy spl clubs then thats what we'll become

You need to take a chill pill, we were all over them the !st half, and thanks to blunders and 'thier' better play we lost the 2nd half, there are so many disalusional people out there. We playedthe tired old left hand side routine and what with injuries it didn't come off (McDonald/JVOH), so f*ck they got 3 points out of us.

I mean how long have you been a Celtic fan?!?!? I don't understand where your getting 'our team is full of mediocre players from diddy spl clubs' sorry but over the years we have acquired the best of the so called medicore players and have went on to secure 3 in a row and the last 16 in the CL twice. Your argument is shot down in flames before its begun, infact it's the foreign imports that have let us down more than anything else....

Stop being so negatively melodramatic, after all it'sus that will parade 4-in-a-row.

Those that are slating Strachan because of one bad game is a bit excessive. OK, it was an OF game, but there is still a long way to go till the end of the season and I am pretty convinced will will still be there come June. I am also sure Strachan knows whats he doing and if he neccessary he will bring in the right players in January and that could give us the finally push we need, just like last season when he brought in Robbo, Samaras and Hinkel. Certainly Robbo and Samaras played a huge part is bringing the trophy home!!

Nevertheless I still think Strachan will be gone this summer. I think he will have one more season, good or bad and then he will go. Basically because he has taken Celtic has far as he could and its time someone else stepped in the build on his legacy.

This is absolutely impossible to prove. Besides they are both good teams IMO. Both managed to see off the best calibre of sides at CP.

    1. Throughout most of our long and glorious history most of our players have been either home grown or from other SPL teams. They have always made up the majority of the team except in the MON years. People have been spoiled by a year of incredible spending MON had 8 years ago and think its the norm. It not. Scottish players have always been the backbone of Celtic and unlike many countries, many of the best Scottish players play in Scotland.

    A question to the haters:

(Can't be arsed starting another thread)

If the favourites to the SPL win it this year, and we make the last 16 of the Champions League (Villareal and Aalborg are hardly world-beaters)

Would you be happy with Strachan and his work over the past 4 years or would you still be depressing the rest of us?

The majority dont despise WGS. Its a loud and in-your-face small agressive minority of goldfish memory people. Those people can give a false impression of what is the general view of tims on various issues. Every time we have a poll, a huge majority say he is doing a good job and stay.

I cant agree with that. The Celtic way is to try and win using a passing game with skill and passion rather than brute force. I think we have a lot of ball players now and try to pass it. Watching the OF game again, it still struck me that we tried to play football. Although crazy individual errors totally screwed us, on any other day I think we would have had a narrow win. The only time we really dont play the Celtic way is when outclassed in the CL when we go very tactical but the Celtic way did us no good over a 25 year period in Europe.
