The truth about Strachan. Time to go.

Ok let's be honest about our manager and stop hiding behind 3 in a row or last 16 twice. Let's examine his record properly.

First season.
Won the league. Let's not forget, Rangers couldn't even beat self imploding Hearts to second place they were so * bad so had we not won, given the money we'd spent it would've been a joke.
Two great signings in nake and artur. Absolute pants in Virgo, Telfor, Camara (Forrest gump) and a host of other poor players.
Europe an embarrassment.

Second season.
Won league again. Rangers season's a disaster with PLG, total shambles and lucky to finish second. We sign lots of mediocre players yet manage to get through to last 16 of CL, good achievement and Strachan to be applauded for this. Record V Huns not great esp at Greyskull.
More awful signings, simply awful.

Last season.
Won league on last day, great.
Reason? Rangers imploded just like we did in 2003. Strachan FORCED to go into vital OF game without Brown due to suspension and gets lucky 'cos Robson replaces him and goes on to win MOM in next 2 OF games, winning us both.
Strachan displays tactical masterpiece by taking off top scorer at home v 1o man motherwell when losing. Brilliant (Er, didn't work).
Knocked out of two cup competitions at home for first time in history.
Scrape into last 16 of CL, brilliant feat but we got VERY lucky with injury time and last second goals in two home ties. This luck will run out big time. 5 points became 9.

This season?
Biggest humping at home to huns in my lifetime (I'm only 41 though).
Signing coup of Paddy McCourt. (Sorry guys, get real)
Hopeless away to United.

Guys it's time to take stock. This guy's signed 36 players, thirty * six. In three years that's huge. Just how many have been truly worth it eh?

He's an absolute embarrassment to our club at press conferences and should be replaced now, before real long term damage is done, although i fear it maybe too late already.

I backed the guy for a while and fought his corner. I wasn't against him for some time, actually thought he was a good signing for us. I was wrong.
Smith's record first time round at Ibrox doesn't impress, he had zero competition. I don't fear him, i do fear Strachan.

 

my opinion is that he is a good manager, but easilly pushed around...

i dont agree with you at all mate sorry but strachans a great manager we could sit all day and point out Oneills mistakes but why do that no point why bring up the bad when we've done really really good

I thought Telfer was a decent signing.
Football is about results and Strachan has delivered over and over again. If he was doing the same at Middlesbrough or West Brom he'd be hailed a hero. But I'm fed up with all these anti Strachan threads surfacing time and again spouting the same old stuff. If someone comes up with something new I'd be inclined to have more interest, but people who just start a thread about a subject that's been done to death are really beginning to annoy me.

Strachan will leave Celtic one day and I just hope we get a manager who can deliver half of what he has.

If you don't like Strachan fair enough, but to see these threads started over and over and over and over again is getting boring now.

He's the manager and people should learn to live with it.
He was a * hero at the end of last season and now as the memory fades he's becoming a villain again.
I get the feeling if he wins us 10 in a row he will still be criticised.

 

Out of those 36 signings aswel where youth players? also mccourt cost penauts, cant be jduge as a bad as he could turn out good. Du wei was a signing and was with us for * all time.
Telfer did good. and even with the signnigs policy, look at the "master" in wegner, its just he has had success and has had a load of duds in there.

And he should only go when he starts to lose a lot, not get us father in europe and a 3 in a row, you can only beat what is put in front of you

 

What pish only 3 game's into the new season ffs most sucessfull manager since jock stein, wouldn't want to get rid of a good manager with only 3 games played.

 

The board love him, he is the perfect man for them, no matter your views on his success his achievements are un-questionable.

Their is no way he will be sacked so get that one right out your mind as he most certainly dosen´t deserve that.

However I think there is a real possibility he may walk long before the end of this season.

Mate that is one load of bullshit! how can he be a bad manager if hes won 3 titles in row. u can only beat whats put in front of you. how can he be a bad manager if he is taking what u call mediocre players 2 the last 16 of the champions league?? sorry mate dont agree with u one bit. another thing, ure straight on his back as soon as he loses on the FOURTH game of the season well wgs was right the huns have beat us on 2 of the last 3 first old firm games of the season...what happened after that?

it dosent matter how many times we say strachan to go or how long our posts are,the strachan lovers will always throw up 3 in a row ,it disnae matter if there was only 1 team in the league ,three in a row will always be the answer to anything we say,

wgs has had to use the same team as last season because the board never got behined him finantially, thats the way i feel.

i cant believe for one min that strach never had a list as long as your arm of potential signing targets that would improve the first team. as soon as rangers went out of europe and looked awful all the talks with bassa and tamas disappeared.

 

i have to laugh at this paddy mccourt he is no were good enuff to play for celtic hahahaa but i dinno maybe he is now with the celtic team we have at present

This is shocking. 4 games into the season and you want Strachan out. If he was to go , who would replace him ? It would be hard to find a manager that's as good as him to come to us. Get a grip mate , we've won 3 in a row and reached the last 16 , something that " saint " Martin never achieved. To be honest with you Celtic don't need your support , if you're constantly negative about the team. Get a grip and start supporting the team in a positive manner.
