    It's bollocks.

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has dismissed reports that the club are interested in striker Steffen Iversen.
The agent of the 29-year-old former Wolves and Tottenham forward had said Celtic were keen on the player.

But Strachan simply said: "Iversen won't be coming here," when asked about the Norwegian international.

Strachan reiterated his desire to keep John Hartson and revealed that further talks will take place with trialist Peter Halmosi's representatives.

Iversen is a free agent after helping Valarenga win the Norwegian title in November.

And agent Rune Hauge told the Sun: "Celtic are one of the clubs we are talking to about Steffen.

"Managers are aware he is a free agent and we have had a lot of interest with Celtic in that list."

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan is short of strikers, having has lost Chris Sutton to Birmingham, while Craig Beattie remains on the sidelines with injury.

Kenny Miller will join up in the summer but Strachan does not want Iversen to provide back-up for Hartson, Maciej Zurawski and Shaun Maloney.

Iversen, who left Spurs for Wolves in 2003, is still a regular at international level and has scored 12 goals in 54 appearances for Norway.

One of those goals came from the penalty spot at Hampden in October 2004 as Norway beat Scotland 1-0 in the World Cup qualifying campaign.
