I'm reading through all these threads and constantly reading that such and such was gash, isn't fit to wear the jersey, not good enough for our club. News flash they are the best that we can get. The best players want to play in the best leagues for top dollar wages which again in our situation in a stagnant league we cannot afford to pay or attract the calibre of player we were seeing in the past decade. Clubs that pay over the odds for players have ruined football and unless someone hits the big reset switch the playing field will never be truly level.
At the end of the day we were playing a team with only one attacker and 9 defenders and as soon as they got their goal it was always going to be a struggle. When forrest got sent off I feared the worst and we can probably consider ourselves fortunate that we managed a point out of that train wreck of a game. Yes the referees were bad but also consider we only had one fit striker goals were always going to be at a premium.
Stokes is only 22 after all and hadn't scored in the past 7 games yet had the composure to put that penalty away right at the end however he has proven his talent at Hibs and Falkirk (look at the goal he scored against our friendly neighbours).
On another day the officials may have been better but week in week out Celtic will come across teams that will set out to stop us from playing. We need to be realistic about expectations, get behind the team and show the whole world what true support means. No slating players who have been poor (even Murphy) and cheer our green and white heroes onto victory.
As big Jock once said, "Football without the fans is nothing." Therefore without us Celtic doesn't exist.

Over and over we will follow you

It happens all the time on these forums, a win one week and everyone is a rising superstar then we lose/draw the next and people are looking for heads to roll.

I'm not defending these awful performances but the mass hysteria when we have a poor performance is over the top.

Well why are we buying rassmussen and loaning him out? why are we buying Juarez and not giving him a game. Wheres Hooiveld? Kapo? Murphy?

I agree its hard to get the top players in but I dont think we should be bringing in players that we never see. Were wasting money on bit part players when we could have pushed the boat out and brought in a solid centre half and striker.

:50: Exactly this is what we need as a club - no use beating up the team when the manager is about to serve an unprecedented first-time ban. We should all get behind them to win this league!

Well said, mate! :50: Fully behind Lennon and this side, sick of a disappointing result and an over the top reaction. Back the Bhoys, we'll knuckle down and win this league! :shamrock:

Getting on someones back telling them they are rubbish and that they are not fit to wear the jersey is great motivation is it not. As Lennon said when he was appointed we need to bring back the thunder. Yes a bad result never tastes great but winning trophies leaves you feeling amazing. Through thick and thin we back our team all the way, that is what makes you a supporter. From the looks of it we coped easily with Hamilton it just wasn't our day.

Finishing was a bit poor but we had 70% possession in the 2nd half which isnt bad really and with all the commotion with the SFA surely we are better to get behind the team than criticise it mercilessly.

I'll be honest i'm guilty of coming on here and having a go at players after a poor performance but just as easily big up players when they have one good game. It's just what happens haha don't take it to heart.

The way some folk carry on, you would think that they don't want Celtic to take the park unless there are players of the ilk of Henrik & Lubo in the side... Seriously, if Messi wore the Hoops & had a bad game there would be people screaming for himn to be punted.

A little dose of reality. We drew. Hamilton humbled us. We were poor, the ref & his pals were poor, and we got out of it with a point, perhaps it should have been 3... Yes, we support Celtic, but we have no given right to win anything. Every game that is won & every trophy in the cabinet, has been earned with alot of hard work.

Faithful, through and through. YNWA. Celtic - that's the team for me... If you know the history...

Are these mere words, or do they mean something more intrinsic? Anyone who thinks that we have a divine right to win every game 6-0 & if we don't then the team deserves to be slagged off should give up following football in the real world, and concentrate on their Xbox careers.
