[No Link] Stokes to Burnley

I would sell any player if he could be replaced with better ...

People are aloud their opinion obviously but suggesting that someone doesn't watch the same games as their opinion differs is a bit ricockulous.

So if theirs decent money in it and we can get one of these wingers we've been looking at in, we should sell.

 

Sure, LM's who contribute to twenty goals in half a season grow on trees, they are all desperate to play for us too.

Just wrote something more substantial in the Stokes thread, but to summarise: * off, Burnley.

 

I probably wouldn't sell him now, our team has regressed that much that he's actually became an important player for us. He'll always be inconsistent and he'll never be an important player for us in Europe (especially the Champions League, if we ever get back into it) but he does provide us with a reasonable amount of goals and assists domestically and unfortunately at the moment, we don't have an abundance of players that can do that for us.

He used to get benched for the Glasgow derby's against them because the intensity and physicality of those games were too much for him, but I thought he would have made an impact on that game yesterday due to The Rangers/Sevco (whatever the * they've named their new club) obviously being as * as they are.

In a good Celtic squad, he would be a back up player but obviously at the moment we're lacking in quality therefore a player like Stokes becomes an important player for us. So yeah, I wouldn't sell him at the moment but I still retain the hope that we can get players in that can get us back into the Champions League.

 

Absolute nonsense. Do you mean to say we should hypothetically sell everyone as we could hypothetically improve in every position? We have tried to sign players who play in both positions Stokes has played in during his time here and almost every one of them has been unsuccessful. Why sell him just on some vague idea that we could do better despite all evidence right now suggesting we couldn't?

 

It's just the Irish Bhoys, it's the Derry Pele all over again. The only reason it's taken so long to move stokes on is we've had to send out for a bigger crowbar to prize his * out the door.

 

Capable to Contribute to 1 goal a game in the SPL, I'd say there is a few , they might have a clue what they're doing in Europe and the big games as well.
